COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

12oz bottle from Liquor Loft. Clear amber-brown pour with a thin white head that leaves a ring. Aroma is light malt, hay and honey. Sweat caramel malt taste with toasty grain and some apricot. Texture is medium and a little flat. Finishes a sticky sweet but smooth enough. Not my thing.

Pours a golden copper with very very little head - just a light white froth that promptly dissipates. Aroma is earthy - dry leaves, bread, and some caramel/cereal mix. Flavor is toasted malts, very earthy bread and a minor hint of nutty sweetness. Body is light with active carbonation.

12 oz bottle, pours a dark golden color, no real head. Aroma when poured cold is very non-appealing and almost metallic-smelling. When warm, definitely a sweet maltiness is present with some vegetable charater. Taste is very subtle and light, just mildly sweet. Very little bitterness. Body is light with quickly fading carbonation, very mild sweet finish. Very objectionable when consumed cold but not bad at room temperature.

Draft at ncbc. Pours a clear dark amber with a loose creamy tan head. Mild artichokey nose, mixed with old wet leaves and stale tobacco. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Artichoke and old wet leaves on the mid palate. Neutral finish.

Bottle. Pours medium brown with medium offwehite head. Smells bready.. typical octoberfest style. Tastes like your typical octoberfest release. Nothing special.. just an okay brew.

Bottle. Pours an amber brown with a thin head. Mild, fairly non-descript aroma of caramel malts, some pilsener hops, and a fair amount of yeast. The flavor is surprisingly bready, with all of the aroma characteristics, and a sort of metallic aftertaste. Victory is usually quite solid, but this is not a particularly impressive Marzen.

Amber color with a tannish head and a nice malty aroma. This has a nice malty, caramel tatse with a medium bodied sensation lingering on the palate.

Backlog rating 2-06-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a small very fizzy off-white head that quickly dissipated, transparent body, fast rising carbonation, no lacing, and the body has an orange hue. The Aroma consists of malt, caramel, fruit, and hops. The Taste is malty, hoppy, fruity, and sweet. The Palate is slightly tingly and this is a light-medium bodied beer. All-in-all, this beer is easy to drink, nothing complex about this beer, rather boring to drink and not a beer that I will drink again.

12 oz Bottle. Victory is one of my favorite brewers. The beer pours a clear amber color with a small head that disappeared. The aroma was of sweet caramel malt. The taste of sweet caramel and some fruit. The beer has light body with soft carbonation. The finish is of sweet caramel and some fruity flavors and no hops.

Bottle, eh not too impressed. Amber color, funky aroma. Malt flavor, with some spice to it. Not much of a finish. Forgettable.
