COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

If you drink a few beers before hand, well........ this might be a beer you’d like. Not to impressive on me palate, unless you like water with a touch of ?????? This beer is better then Coors Light but what beer is not. If you drink Coors light and want to get crazy one day this is the beer for you.

Average head/colour/etc. The interesting thing about this beer is that I thought it started off with a skanky-US Macro brew taste to it. It was very harsh on the palate. However, that taste quickly dissipates, and gave way to a more traditional Octoberfest taste. The initial taste is so foul though, that I had to give this one an average rating.

12 oz bottle. Small, fine-bubbled and off-white head tops a light amber-copper, fairly clear body...rather weak, lightly toasty nose...body fairly zingy and hoppy, on the upper end of bitterness for the style I’d say, bit smoky and tarry with very light residual sweetness in the middle, finishing quite bitter and burnt. Not a favorite from this brewer.

12 oz bottle, via Thaichile. Pours a hazy copper with a small white head that faded to a thin film quickly. Sweet caramel malt nose, but overall very little aroma. A light cooked veggies aroma as well. Light caramel malt flavor. Finish has touches of oxidation creeping in, consumed 01/26/06 with a best by date of 12/12/05. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not the freshest sample by Victory’s calculated best by date, but not ridiculously past date. I know it isn’t fair to rate a beer that is by their own admission too old, but I thought that I would do so simply as a cautionary tale to those out there to heed the "best by" dating. They mean it with this one!

Pours a dark copper, with a head that quickly fades. This beer has some malty sweetness, may be a bit overcarbonated and the hop bitterness is more than usual. Not a bad beer.

Bottled. Light caramel and toasty notes, with mild diacetyl and weak fruity hoppiness. Sweet with a bit of biscuit. Medium amber-copper clear, with thin off-white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts with mild toasted grain and biscuit sweetness, light butterscotch and astringent bitterness. Light acidity, neutral fruit, and tannic cherry skins. Finish is medium bitter, with chalky and bitter after. Mild after and fairly clean.
