COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2005 Rerate: Downgrading as I’ve found the head disappointing and overall the beer is less distinct than I may have thought originally. Smooth, leaves mild sweetness and dry hop bite. Previous: solid beer, pretty good marzen

A pretty standard American beer. Amber, mildly hoppy, a decent albeit short aftertaste. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. Just standard beer.

Nice amber color, no head, not even any little bubbles looked flat. Aroma is weak, slightly malty maybe a little ripe fruit, kinda bananaish. Flavor is sort of malty with a bit of a nutty finish. Had this draft at Victory in the sampler. One of the weakest in the show.

This is the second oktoberfest Ive had in a row and my thoughts havent changed much. This beer has very subtle spices with high carbonation. I love the victory brewery, but this is definitely not one of the highlights. The style of this beer is just very flat with nothing setting it apart. Very uncharacteristic of victory. I have the highest of expectations for this brewery and I would recommend trying their other styles far before coming to this one.

Bottle: Aroma is light Euro-lager sweetness with moderate grassy hops. Pours a bright transparent amber witih a small white head. Flavor is just like the aroma. Euro-lager sweetness up front with a grassy hop finish. Very bland and not a good example of the style in my opinion.

this beer is surprisingly average. I’m a big fan of Victory but this beer is weak. Its a bit more tart than I feel a marzen should be - I like them of the sweet side. It does have a nice aftertaste and a nice dark amber look. But all in all it average.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2006 A little darker than yer typical pale yellow american beer. No haze, transparent. Less than average carbonation. Slight bitter hops on the flavor and in the finish, probably not to style. Smooth, as advertised. Moonglow is better.

(Bottle) Pours a clear copper body with small yellowish beige head. Aroma of caramel, grain, grass, and light toastiness. Flavor of caramel malt, mild grassy hops, and some fruitness.

12 oz bottle. It pours a reddish orange with a fizzy white head. The smell is of oxidized fruits and caramel. The taste is a bit bland, it starts with a mineral water character and moves into a doughy sweetness with a bit of bitterness. This beer hardly excites me, one of the more forgettable Oktoberfest beers. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-18-2010 06:00:47

Aroma of nuts, bread, and leaves. Pours iced tea brown. Tastes of bread, nuts, and earth. Pretty tasty but not my fav taste.
