Bleekgeel bier, weinig schuim. Aroma van specerijen, citrus. Lijkt op een Belgische tripel, maar geen hele goede. Mist balans in aroma. Smaak licht zurig, verder bitterzoet.

355ml bottle from a Publix in Kissimmee Florida. Clear golden with a white head. Nice aged out triple aroma. Really solid true to style triple. Great for $1.33 a bottle. FLVC2 #8

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, grain, and spice. Taste is yeast, banana, cloves, wheat, citrus, and some alcohol. Very nice to drink and a very nice price.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 alcaponejunior (349) - Texas, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Yellow and clear with a half finger head and pretty good lace. Normally I’d expect more head on a tripel, but it ain’t bad looking.
Cloves and yeast dominate the smell, along with a little banana.
Flavor is very banana and clove, with a good portion of Belgian yeast. It’s very sweet and has a bit of fruitiness too.
Body is medium and less carbonated than I’d expect from the style. It leaves a sweet and yeasty aftertaste.
I don’t think it’s on the short list of tripels for me, but it’s still a pretty good beer.

Perfectly competent belgian style. What sets this apart, though, is the spice on the aftertaste - it really adds a nice kick to a familiar style. This might be the lowest priced beer of its style that happens to be very good.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Tortman18 (77) - Batavia, Illinois, USA - APR 26, 2013
Pours a hazy golden, almost like a Hefeweizen, with a huge two and half finger of pure white, frothy head that dissipates slowly. Nose is very hoppy and fruity. I get a slight woody aroma, almost like water saturated oak logs. Strong grapefruit presence. Mouth is bitter with a lot of yeast and fruit. Banana is very strong, with hints of cloves and grapefruit.

This pours a clear, golden yellow color with a slight, white head. The aroma is yeasty with banana and citrus. The taste is sweet and refreshing with lots of yeasty banana flavor. It drinks very smooth and clean leaving behind a yeasty after taste.

I have been drinking this guy for years, along with La Fin du Monde this became my sub for actual Belgians back when I could get it for about $9 a six pack.
If I want a decent pillow top I have to put in a little effort on the pour, so that is quite a departure from most true Belgians. Aside from that and a lack of real complexity, this is definitely a solid option. Even at about 12 per pack these days, you can’t go wrong now that the price of the real thing is depressingly skyrocketing. The spice on this one is what makes it a notch above the Unibroue for me.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear, bright golden color with a thin white film of a head. Aroma is boozy up front, wheat, banana, clove, and spice. Flavor of juicy fruit gum, coriander, pepper, hints of clove, with a warm alcohol and bitter finish.
