Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

Have enjoyed this many times on tap, and was surprised that I hadnít reviewed it. This time, a shared 12 oz. bottle with the local Windy City Distribution rep, poured to snifters displaying a clear & bright, golden color, with a frothy, soft white head, and web-like cling to the lacing. The nose was soft malt, sweetness, and slightly floral, with a touch of banana, other citrusy esters as lemon & orange, and spice hints as clove & coriander. The taste was similar, with a light to medium body, lively carbonation, some silkiness to the mouthfeel, modest dry & earthy bitterness, and hidden alcohol that can easily fool one into a false sense of sessionablity. A benchmark Tripel.

I got this as a part of Variety of Victory Mixpack and I just had to try it! Clear golden colored beer with a two finger high, white, head that leaves lacing.
A lot of bubbles racing to the top.

Nose: Banana, yeast, spice, pepper, caramel malt and honey.
Taste: Spice, sugar, banana, citrus, orange, coriander and caramel malt.
Body: Medium body. High carbonation. Crisp and fresh.
Great beer!

Excellent, as description says golden and frothy. Nice white head clove and banana nose yeast lemony and so much complex flavors for a golden ale.

For some reason Iíve been on a lager kick lately. So it was very refreshing to drink a beer of this style. Everything is so complex compared to the lagers and pilsners Iíve been drinking lately. I like the deep gold color and the complex aroma of fruits (banana, clove etc) and spices. Itís very clean and smooth yet complex in flavor, tasting of spice, hops, and fruity sweetness.

355ml bottle. Clear yellow golden color with off white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, light spicy, light malty grainy. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle BBE: 25 Sep 17. Cool. Pours a clear gold-amber with floaters and a medium, loose white head. Classic Belgian aroma: wheat, lemon, coriander, clementine, banana. Some herbal, marijuana notes. Almost immediate, medium-intense fruity sweetness with a little bubble gum. A crisp, gentle bitterness to follow. Boozy. Medium-bodied with a coarse texture, medium-low carbonation and a long finish. Overall this is a more than solid tripel, very much to style, that fairly packs a punch

12Fl OZ ($21 12pack) This was the beer I bought the sample pack for. heard lots of good things about it and that it was really good. well they were all right! this is a very good beer and holds its own among Belgians. I would say this is one of the better domestic abbey ales Iíve had.

12 oz. bottled poured into a snifter. Clear and golden with a not-so-fluffy looking head. Itís gone quickly. Some lacing remains. Spicy with a distinct yeasty aroma. Smells like a tripel. Nothing really complex. I canít pick out exactly what spices this beer claims to have in it. Fresh, clean flavor. Slight funk and other spice notes. Again, nothing complex, but quite enjoyable. A bit bland, I guess, compared to other tripels. Very light body with moderate carbonation. Itís dangerously drinkable. I could have put away a lot of these very quickly. The downside is that itís extremely dry in the finish. Itís a real turn-off. Itís nothing amazing, but there isnít anything glaringly wrong with it.
