Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

Final beer or my weekend. Pours golden hue with white head, light lace cap. Nose of biscuit, cereal, yeast. Taste adds clove, hay, and grass. Body is medium and hides the higher ABV. Mrs. Emily loves this "Jam" and I can see why.

The body has a hazy pale golden color with lots of yeast sediment and effervescent bubbles. The head is tall and light in color. It quickly settles to a very thin wisp layer. It still makes a few nice lace rings before fading though. There are nice fresh fruity banana and orange juice like esters in the nose along with light bready yeast notes. I also get a slight fruity/citrus hop like note the background. On the tongue the flavor matches the nose with estery and bready yeast and maltiness. This is followed up with some citrus hop notes blending in with spice and a touch of abv. The hop notes dry out the yeast and malt in the finish and then a slow fading bitterness takes over. The palate is well carbonated and lively.

First beer I’ve ever really liked. Smells great, tastes spicy and sweet. Would like to try more like this.

Banana tart, raisin, yeast, pepper, alcohol. Quite flavorful tripel but alcohol is a bit too present as it warms.

9.5% ABV. Belgian style Tripel. Nice "tripel" type nose. Invitingly alcoholic. Nice thick head. It’s a head, all right. Nose is full of sugar plums. Some light sweet tobacco. Leathery almost. First mouthful is full of gravitas. It’s a substantial sweet spicy mouthful with a just enough carbonation to keep it from being too much. Broad flavors of nutmeg, cloves, corriander and a hint of bergamot in the last silky strands of the aftertaste, just before it sweeps off the palate. This is an ale equivalent of a pair of 40 somethings finding love, with plenty of unexplained baggage that neither party cares to address, the taut hook and wire of vestigial teenage lust and the allure of elaborately veiled mystery. This is not an ale whose charms are quickly discovered. You peel away the layers as you spend more time with it. Disturbingly satisfying, this one.

Bottle (12oz $2.50): Pours a cloud golden with nice white head. Good lacing. Tasted sweet citrus first and ended with strong spices. Medium plus carbonation. Little warming too. A good Tripel.

Bottle @ The White Horse Pub, Sarasota, FL. Took one sip and my lips puckered-up so tight thought i was gonna need a crow-bar to get them apart! Sour fruit is all i could taste. This stuff is horrible.

Bottle. Pours gold. Belgy, bready yeastiness with a hint of lemon. Medium body, medium carbonation. Sweet, with candy, apple, pear, lemon, bread... Some zingy sherbetty boozy candy stuff on the finish. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden and brilliant white head sits proudly on top. Aroma is a melange of belgian esters and noble-hop qualities. Spicy, a little sweet (ripe banana). There’s a pilsner type influence. Grain maybe. This is more prevalent in the taste which is pilsner driven. Spicy, bitter and a little coarse. Finish reveals some esters. a little yeast, and scratchy bitter-hop flavor. Mild herbal aftertaste. Much more hoppy than other Tripels but the pilsner element and its coarse effect is not to my taste.
