Nice flavored ale with a bit of rustick wheat taste to it. Various flavors of honey, fruits within. Rather hard to find.

Bottle@home, from Alko Stockman, Tampere, Finland. Strong still quite fresh taste with sweet malts, banana, some wheat and some artificial spices. Balanced with medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with sweeter malts and a hint of banana. Medium/light body with medium carbonation. Resembles real abbey’s, but doesn’t have any earthy nuances or organic touch.

2015 BJCP Category: 26C Belgian Tripel

AROMA: Plenty of pale malt and yeast ester spices. Light banana; lemon peel; coriander? 9/12

APPEARANCE: Maize hue; cloudy body but CO2 visible. Small, white foam. 2/3

FLAVOR: 1-2 combo of peppery spice and citrus flavor. Grainy sweet malt with minor honey presence. Some coriander or similar spice on the finish; though the nature esters impart plenty of flavor, too. Alcohol is a minor, but contributing component of the palette. 15/20

MOUTHFEEL: Carbonation is strong, but fine. Body is medium and comfortable in the mouth. Alcohol warmth is noticeable, but subtle. Not as strong as you’d think. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: I’ve had this on tap and it was outstanding; bottle isn’t quite as good (and possibly aged). Definitely to-spec and satisfying, though. 8/10

TOTAL SCORE: 38/50

35,5 cl bottle from our lovey monopoly. Pours clear, golden with a small, off-white head. Nose has sweet malt and fruit with belge style yeasts and noticeable alcohol. Richl body with loads of spices and malt. Too much belgian style still and all that honey.

Keg at BD Sheps, 09/06/16. Clear golden with a decent off White head. Nose is candied fruit peel, cantaloupe melon, sweet malt, yeast esters, tangerine. Taste comprises light caramel, pinch of white pepper, candyfloss, Belgium yeast esters, tangy citric, light hopping, bubblegum. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light rising alcohol in the close. Solid for style ... never too sweet or cloying ... well worthy of its top 50 style status .... One of a few of this ilk I would happily return to!

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2016 Can, 12 fl oz. Pours light gold/amber, moderately cloudy, and with a little visible carbonation. White-ish head doesn’t stick around long. Sweet on the nose with a big fruity belgian yeast hit - lots of banana and other esters - maybe some apple. Sweet and buttery malt with a fair bit of honey, and of course the advertised spices - picking up some the coriander too. Little bit of booze as expected. Taste wise the flavour profile retains the sweet and buttery malt characteristic to begin with before giving way to a fairly spicy, almost peppery finish which lingers a while. Cloves and coriander again here with some more herbal notes coming in. Less booze on the taste than on the nose - very warming though. Medium to full-bodied with a thick, creamy texture yet surprisingly lively carbonation, which along with the added spice means this brew has a bit more bite than your average tripel. Love it!

355 ml bottle. Clear golden colour, thin white head. Sweetish malty, spicy aroma, with apples and floral notes. The flavour is sweetish malty, with mango, apples, banana notes. Warm, spicy finish. The alcohol is a bit too prominent, but otherwise not bad.
