EHopper (80), Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2008 Cool citrus punch color. Aroma of strange tropical fruits. Fairly intense flavor to match with fairly sour overtones. Tastes like more than the fruit, but the flowers and the leaves and the mold and spice, and everything else in the forest, while holding a nice, bright edge. I had trouble enjoying this beer, but believe others would. Worth serving someday to friends to judge their response.
Snojerk321 (879), San Diego, California, USA Jul 16, 2008 12oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Hazy yellow color with a big beige head. Aroma of citrus, yeast and coriander. Flavor is sweeter than most triplels, Tastes of lemon, sugar and spices. tedovertu (82), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA Jul 16, 2008 Average size white head. Cloudy body with small particulates. Major alcohol aroma and taste present (overpowers the coriander and orange flavors) Long lasting flavor with a sour milk finish. A little on the astringent side. Was hoping for a little more out of this beer. Optigon (533), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jul 15, 2008 Pours golden and frothy, as described. By all appearances, pretty standard for a tripel. Flavor is spicy and citrusy. Derek881 (285), Frederick, Maryland, USA Jul 11, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a trappist glass. The beer had a cloudy, orange-amber color with a very thin white head that quickly disappeared. Potent aroma of citrus and herbal hops, with a bit of spice, and some caramel and candy malt tones too. Taste was heavily sweet, with fruity and candy-like flavors, but had a dulling bitter finish too. The body was rather thin, with initial wetness that quickly gave way to a drier finish, complete with a kick of alcohol. Carbonation and fizzyness were on the lighter side, with a mouth-drying after effect. I think this beer may be slightly overrated, but it is definitely a good value for the price. phiktion (11), , Pennsylvania, USA Jul 10, 2008 Updated: Jul 12, 2008Did not enjoy this beer at all, has a spearmint taste, very nasty and gross.
