Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

Pours a dark gold, with an ever so slight cloudiness. Head is slight, white, and foamy--dissipates quickly with a little lacing. Aroma is a bit restrained at first, but becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Complex, some fruits (apricot, apple) and spice, with the aroma of alcohol discernible. Taste is a mix of fruit (again apple and apricot) and spice at first, but quickly giving way to alcohol with a mildly grassy, hoppy character at the end. Becomes slightly more tolerable as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is lively--a slightly sharp, fizzy carbonation that can get in the way of flavor a bit, but is pleasant in it’s own right. Overall, it’s a good beer and faiy faithful to the Belgian tripel style. That said, I’d say the promising flavor up front is a bit undone by an overly bitter aftertaste. I should point out that this is an extremely potent beer, but it drinks rather quickly, so watch out. Good, worthy even, but not quite in the same league with authentic Belgian tripels.

330ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Slightly hazy amber color. Huge size, thick white head, stays. Farty, grainy, fruity, sweet, caramel in aroma. Sweet, caramel, acetone, citrus, marmalade in taste. Soapy, mango, fruity and alcoholic in aftertaste. Slick soapy mouthfeel. Alcohol is covered with soap. Messy brew.

355ml bottle - thanks martjoobolut!
Mine is cloudy, Anna’s is clear. Has a rather pleasant karmeleit tripel aroma - cloned yeast? Slightly soapy taste, light grains, perfumey hops. Finish brings out the soap more. Clean glass is shampoo rather than soap.

This was a fine imitation-Belgian thing. Like I mean, it was ok. Kind of an off taste to it, not nearly as good as any of the popular Belgian style ones like Chimay etc. Sometimes I wonder about this site, how is this rated so astronomically high. Whatever

The real stand-out for this tripel ale is the taste. It announces itself at the first sip - bright and rich. No bitter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Very cloudy, golden color with a two finger head. Tiny champagne bubbles. Aroma has Belgian spice the hides the high gravity very well. Taste also full of Belgian spice. Not bad.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [240316]
Blonde, clear, frothy white head
Aroma of soft sweet loght malts, slight sweet fruits, soft sweet syrup, not much on nose
Taste of sweet light malts, soft alcohol, soft syrup, some light bitter hops, dull flavour for abv, boozy, bit of creamy malt
Palate - Medium cab, medium to full body, quite oily, boozy. Finish of alcohol, dab of bready malt
Overall - Doesn’t do much for me, not much of interest here - nowhere near as good as Dirt Wolf and Prima Pils

Tap @ kaschk. Pours clear golden yellow with an off white head. Aroma of sweet esters, grain, spicy hops, bread crust and honey. The taste is spicy with mild hops, sweet esters warming alcohol and some honey. Alright.
