3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark gold, with an ever so slight cloudiness. Head is slight, white, and foamy--dissipates quickly with a little lacing. Aroma is a bit restrained at first, but becomes more pronounced as the beer warms. Complex, some fruits (apricot, apple) and spice, with the aroma of alcohol discernible. Taste is a mix of fruit (again apple and apricot) and spice at first, but quickly giving way to alcohol with a mildly grassy, hoppy character at the end. Becomes slightly more tolerable as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is lively--a slightly sharp, fizzy carbonation that can get in the way of flavor a bit, but is pleasant in it’s own right. Overall, it’s a good beer and faiy faithful to the Belgian tripel style. That said, I’d say the promising flavor up front is a bit undone by an overly bitter aftertaste. I should point out that this is an extremely potent beer, but it drinks rather quickly, so watch out. Good, worthy even, but not quite in the same league with authentic Belgian tripels.

Pours lightly cloudy yellow with medium, thick white head. Aroma of fruit - peach, banana, honey, light orange - yeast, dough and light bread. Taste is fairly rich alcohol and yeast sweet up front before a light bitterness in the finish. Very rich and creamy body with soft carbonation.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a hazy golden color topped by a small creamy white head. Nice Belgian lace. Yeasty citrus malt aroma. Soft complex lemony malt flavor upfront. Spicy, yeasty malt flavor. Smooth and drinkable. Has a creamy mouthfeel. Finishes slightly dry with a slight tart aftertaste. Nicely done.

Sample at a Systembolaget tasting. Smell of fresh green apples. Light mild taste with some green apples. Also some grass and herbs. Fresh and easy to drink but not worth the price.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Ritz Carlton, Orlando, 18th November 13. OK Tripel, I was not really in the mood for this. Well rounded, some spice, it was fine, but pretty much the same as many of these boring Belgian style beers

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cloudy yellow in colour, large and persistent head. Smells like yeast and spices. Palate is rather thin, and the taste is all yeast and malt. Great example of a triple, but not my kind of beer.
