COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sensual splendor in the form of a Belgian inspired ale of vast appeal. Wonderfully aromatic in its seduction of the senses. So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature’s most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you.

Courtesy boboski. Bottled 5/15/03. Amber/orange topped by a modest, dense, tan head. Toasty caramel-toffee malt, dark and light fruits, doughy yeast, and mild spices. Full/medium body, balanced. Solid.

2003. This has aged well and there was so much sugar it could probably go a lot longer. Aroma is sweet with malt and fruit, but I can’t distinguish any particular fruit. Very sweet flavor, malt and sugar, sweet citrus but no sourness. Also yeast in the flavor.

2003 vintage. A orangish pour with thick head. Boy, Victory seems to do a pretty good job with their belgians. I really liked this and V12, golden monkey not quite as much. A beer that held up to it’s aging, nice complex flavors of toffee, cinnamon, peach, and apples. Very good.

2003 vintage pours a hazy reddish orange. Kind of has a weird almost vegital/candi sugar nose. The flavor is similiar. I am not sure what the flavor is is like a candi sugar and caramel meets brussell sprouts or something. Interesting to say the least, and I am not sure if I liked it or not.

2003 vintage pours to a burnt, thick apricot orange in color. Aroma is an amalgamation of oranges, whiskey, and some weird pot-roastish notes. But that’s no anomaly: heavily marinated meat in the flavor, butter rum and wet wood. If it sounds weird you’ve got the idea.

shared 750. not sure of the vintage. Hazy golden/light amber in in appearance. Aroma is yeasty, with alot of notes of apples/pears, caramel, light spices. Taste is the same, full bodied, lightly sweet, bready and spicy. pretty enjoyable.

2003 vintage courtesy of a lucky find. Green apples rind, coriander cinnamon apple pie aroma. Orange amber hazy with diminishing beige normal head. Apple-orange dessert flavor, spice, cinnamon, brown sugar, very nice. medium gravity, bubbly, nice hoppy tasy finish.

Sample at Sleepy Bear tasting 09/30/06 - 2003 vintage thanks jjpm74 - Aroma is strong spice, honey, malt, carmel, and some light fruits. Pours dark orange with medium head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with some citrus hoopy characteristics crepping in. Alcohol well hidden. Palate is creamy and tart. This has aged beautifully and tastes great. Wish I had more.
