COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sensual splendor in the form of a Belgian inspired ale of vast appeal. Wonderfully aromatic in its seduction of the senses. So simple in its creation, so magnificent in its maturity, this wonderful ale begins with Nature’s most humble offerings, water, malted grains and hops. Our soulful yeast breathes life and depth into each brew. The steady hand of time orchestrates this alchemy into the splendid ale before you.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Hazy copper with tan film for head. Aroma very yeasty, with tons of fruit, (apple, pear, white grape) with a floral hop backgorund, somewhat spicy. Flavor again fruity esters, mostly apple and pear, with floral hops and some spice in the finish. Struggled to bump this score up, it’s too one-dimensional though, with all the fruit. Good brew nonetheless.

Aroma has apple, corriander, orange peel, caramel and hints of chocolate. Taste was smooth for the strength but one dimensional. The apple was the dominant flavor.

Bottle: 2003 vintage. Big yeasty aroma with some light fruit and hints of apple. Pours a cloudy orangish-red with a small white head. Lots of yeast with a hint of tartness. Touch of candi sugar just before a flowery bitter finish with a touch of acidity.

Thanks Styles. Vintage 2003. Pours a hazy orange with a quick dissapearing off white head. Aromas were mild with a musty and citrus . Flavors were pear, light maltiness, citrus and spice.

Typical American version of a Belgian style, unfortunately. Simple, straight forward.

Poured orange with a off white head and yeast sediment floating about. Aroma was sweet fruit, notably pear and peach, with a good amount of yeast. Flavor is malty sweet and fruity. Ends quite dry.

12.25.05 A nice christmas treat. May 15, 03 bottling. Had a hard time explaining to a couple people that not all beer that sits around for a year or three gets "skunked". As for this one. Excellent pour with a deep amber nearly copper color. Slight syrup with spices and fruits. Perfect for holiday dinner.

750 ml bottle - May 2003 bottling date, this one came from The_Beer_God in a trade a couple of years ago. Poured a mostly clear copper-rouge color with a fluffy white head. (note, this one begin to bubble and foam up out of the bottle as soon as I opened it) Aroma is fruity with peach and plum, a little citrus and a light spicy yeastiness. Rich spicy fruity malts open the flavor, yeasty spice cake doused with grand marnier and a bit of pepper in the finish. Smooth, full body and easy carbonation. Quite nice!
