3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler shared by Scott(he’s BA but he’s OK!!), picked up from the brewery last week. Poured a very nice looking deep dark orange/brown with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma is great lots of fresh flowery hops, chocolate, nutts, bread, dirty oranges. Medium body with good lively carbonation, a nice touch of bitterness. Flavor of earth, dirty hops, bread, toast, nutts, grapefruit. Good stuff.

Tap. Pours a clear copper body with a small wispy off-white head. Light caramel and toasty malt with some minimal hops, slightly floral in character. The flavor is lightly bitter with a floral hoppiness over toasty and caramel malts. Well balanced between the sweet malt and the hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation. Some lingering leafy and grassy hops. Decent APA, no flaws, but it doesn’t stand out.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: Cask-conditioned draft at the Rattle ‘n Hum, 11/10/10
Aroma: The nose has some pine, citrus, grains, and herbs to it
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is balanced, grainy malts, and some hoppy notes/bitterness as well
Palate: The body is light-medium, smooth, highly palatable, and quite clean
Overall a very solid harvest style brew. It has a good feel to it, and it drinks really nicely/easily. Other then that it is solid stuff. Nothing special, just a well-made brew.

Yellowish orange with a small off-white head. Fairly light aroma with citrus and hops, a little bit of lemon and some pale malts. Light bodied and smooth, very easy drinking. Hint of hoppy bitterness on the finish. Simple but enjoyable.

Tap at the brewery. As a homebrewer, I am so envious of how clear Victory’s beers are, and this is no exception. Nice pale ale balance with malt and hops distributed nicely. Easily sessionable. Better than the Harvest Pils.

(Old BA rate - tap, BT 09)
Golden yellow orange color; poured with a half-finger of eggshell head. Lager-like aromas with some grain sweetness; aggressive hops; touch of maltiness. Hoppy at first; very firm maltiness; a little grainy. Medium body; a touch chalky and dry; very subtle carbonation. Not the most drinkable brew I’ve had in the style (even though the style varies greatly); just a bid odd in the lagery flavors against the hoppiness

Growler. From Consumers Beverages. Pale clear gold, average white head and decent lace remnants. Mild but appealing grain aroma, dry herbal/resin bitterness - (7-). Taste is solidly bitter, with a fresh but dry floral/cereal malt backbone - not aggressive, but the bitterness lingers quite a long time. Light-bodied, a bit astringent, solid carbonation considering the tight-sealed growler has been in my fridge for 10 days! - crisp and clean, I will buy this again - well done, Victory.
