COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three hop varieties have added tremendous zest to this Pale Ale. After a soft and full floral nose, those juicy hops saturate the middle of this amber ale with more flowery fullness. The malt body punctuates the lingering hop richness of this one-of-a-kind ale.

Draft at Victory. Poured clear pale yellow with a sparse white head that left little lacing on the glass. Aroma of pale malts, grapefruit, cereal grain, fairly mild hops on the nose. Tastes of cereal, oranges, mild earthy hop bitterness, caramel, with a fairly dry finish.

Tap at Barcade. Not quite as pale as I would like. Good, though. Perhaps I wasn’t expecting such hop/malt balance and it threw me off. I’ll need to try this brew again.

Awesomely crisp ale that’s got lots of citrus and clean hops everywhere. Beautiful to look at at a near neon yellow gold. This one starts clean and hoppy and goes down clean and malty. Not filling for how malty it is. Great beer.

on tap at Tyler’s, Apex. Good aroma, bittersweet. Grassy bitter with occasional malty sweetness, kind of cereal/toffee. Clean orangy gold color, Good head, spotty lace. Bitter sweet flavor, like aroma, though has a very sharp bitterness. Lite bosy, thin smooth mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good, but seemed kind of lite and thin, almost seemed summer beer like. I didn’t notice a huge difference between this and the Harvest Pils.

On tap at the brew pub the ale had a medium off-white head with light amber body. Aroma and taste of flowers and fruits with a lingering bitterness at the finish.

On tap at Capone’s, Norristown. Big soft head on top of a faintly hazy golden brew. Somewhat soapy aroma, with a hint of esters in there as well. Hops are a bit dry and indistinct in the aroma, certainly less aggressive than I’d expected. Pleasant and smooth-bodied, there are enough floral flavors to make this a moderate enjoyable harvest brew but it’s certainly not in the front rank.

Transparent amber with a bubbly white head. Nose is light citrus and orange, faint biscuit, grassy hop. Flavor is stronger and sweeter with prominent caramel malt. Some orange and mint accompany the malt as the hops emerge with a little warmth. Nothing too strong here, but the balance and refrain are rather enjoyable.

On tap at Barcade. Pours a clear orange with just a hint of haze and a thin beige head. Spice, light esters, little bit of DMS. Medium, but a bit thin, light maltiness. Finishes with a light bitterness.
