Three hop varieties have added tremendous zest to this Pale Ale. After a soft and full floral nose, those juicy hops saturate the middle of this amber ale with more flowery fullness. The malt body punctuates the lingering hop richness of this one-of-a-kind ale.

Tap at Barcade. Not quite as pale as I would like. Good, though. Perhaps I wasnít expecting such hop/malt balance and it threw me off. Iíll need to try this brew again.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Moderate to heavy bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy bitter finish of medium to long duration. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. This is a solid beer.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, opened 11/13/14. Pours a clear copper with a thin fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of green hops, caramel malt and a bit of raw malt. The taste is green, vegetal hops, caramel malt, a bit of raw malt. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness, alpha acid bite, moderate carbonation. A bare bones beer but quite solid.

KSBF. I believe they were pouring this out of 750ml bottles. Poured a medium to deeper golden / amber color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of fresh hops - pine & grass with some caramel. Tastes of lighter hops (didnít have that fresh, green hoppiness) - grass and pine with caramel. Lighter bitter finish.

355ml bottle. Amber pour, ecru head that sticks, nice lacing. Lemon pepper aroma, herbs and grass, bit of citrus zest, baked bread. Flavor is bitter, herbs, some acidity. Not terrible.

Tap at Victory. Big carbonation on a clear amber. Modest, beige head. Big sheets of lace. Feels like IPA in nose and body. Sticky, resinous hop nose. Nutty hoppiness in the body, sappy, pine. Very east coast IPA in profile. Good stuff.

Pint on tap at Dutchís. Wow.. Up front, this is tremendously hoppy! Iím surprised theyíre calling it a pale ale... Other breweries would happily call this an IPA, and itís hoppier than many "IPAs" Iíve had, too. Fantastic herbal, mildly spicy big earthy hop. Good toasty malt, very light caramel. Totally clear orange amber color, with a nice thin off-white head that retains well and leaves fantastic thicker splotches and ropes of lace. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Wonderful grassy, lightly grapefruity hop aftertaste. Amazing hop on this. As far as pale ales go, this is one of the hoppiest Iíve ever had, but unlike the typical super-highly rated pale ales, this actually has an interesting malt backbone to balance things out. Moderate-plus bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Definitely some zest. Overall, a fantastic and incredibly hoppy pale ale. Wonderful fresh hop beer. A very effective vessel for a hop showcase. One-of-a-kind indeed, never had anything quite like it (though many that have come close..)

Tap at d. b. a. Clear golden beer with a thin white head. Aroma is fairly malty and sweet, some earthy/dusty malts with a bit of sulfurous yeasty character as well. Flavour is decent but quite sweet. Bready malts, some toast and sweet honey flavour. Slightly oxidized flavour and I really donít know where the hops are in thisÖ Iíd take the harvest pils over this any day of the week.

Orangy coppery pour with medium head. Malty aroma with a hoppy floral and fruity smell. This one reminds me a lot of the Manayunk wet hopped brew, with the caramel malty flavor backed up by an earthy, sort of fruity yet peaty hop, as such. Complex and well balanced, I had several pints of this.

Bottle. Clear amber with a fine and lasting white head. Instant catty hop impression in the aroma: green onion, burnt pineapple, sweat, urinal cake / chlorine. Malt is lightly toasty and toffee-ish, fermentation seemingly clean. Medium body, sweet and sugary and bitter in the mouth, green, soggy, mossy, grassy, etc., pretty much *the* character I dislike in wet hop beer. Silty / chalky texture in a short, flabby finish.
