3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of caramel and mild citrus hops. It pours a slightly hazy amber with a two finger orange tinged off-white head that quickly fades to a ring around the edges of the glass. There’s a decent amount of sticky webbing left on the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate caramel with a hint of fruit. The finish has some light pine and grapefruit hops with a touch of peach. Medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Overall...as soon as a smelled this I knew it wasn’t fresh. I had never seen this on shelves before and assumed it was. The best buy date is September 19, 2011. It says it’s in anniversary beer, but if it’s ever brewed again, I’d love to give another go at it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle: Clear gold cider look with a small fuzzy white ring head. Wonderful aromas of apricot, grapefruit and toastiness. Great hoppy flavor for a pale ale. Crisp and dry in the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a hell of a beer. It is a plain Jane golden color with a small head but that’s about the only negative thing I can say about it. It is a crisp and light APA with lots of citrus and a bit of grassy character to keep things nice and even. It’s light bodied w/o being watery and solidly carbonated without being prickly or overbearing. It’s pretty dry w/ only enough sweetness to balance the firm herbal hop bitterness in the finish. A lot of people think hops and they go for the big IPA or IIPA. This in my opinion is an equally good showcase for how American hops can work in a brew, as a crisp lemony counterpoint to sweetness which increases drinkability w/o assaulting your taste buds.

Draft. Clear, pale straw color. No head. Musty aroma. Taste is off, bitter but not right. I love strong hoppy beers... This is not for me.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Has a very grassy aroma. Pours very nice with a great head. Is an incredible golden color that is very clear. Has a very wheaty flavor for a pale ale but it works nicely. Has a grassy hop flavor that balances well with the wheatiness. Has a medium body and is perfectly carbonated. This is not a typical pale ale but is very refreshing and kind of 1/2 wheat beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Pretty strong aroma of citrus and pine hops and some caramel malts. Flavor wasn’t as strong as I was hoping. Citrus and pine hops up front with not much on the finish. A little disappointing.

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Clear amber-gold with a large-ish frothy white lasting head. Fairly light floral/grassy bitter aroma with background cereal - not sweet or harsh; simple and somewhat dry. Taste follows, more bitterness, some noticeable alcohol, not as grainy. Average body, chewy, a bit astringent, lightly carbonated, fairly long dry back-of-palate bitter finish. Decent.
