Pours very light amber. Big grape fruit on the nose. Citrus hope on nose with adequate malt to provide balance. Absolutely beautiful pale ale. Victory!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2011 a clear but dark gold body, great bright white head, looks great... light dank and grass on the nose, I like it, however there is a slight skunk finish... taste is terrible, a skunky dank pale, so disappointing... pass on this
had this again, much better and score reflects

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours out a brownish orange color with a white head on it. Smell is hoppy and grassy with a little bit of citrus notes to it. Taste is sweet, refreshing, and kind of hoppy. An interesting beer, and certainly different from the old standby of SNPA. Good session beer, easy to drink, and for what it is, a good beer. I wish the grocery stores carried this one to through into my rotation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy amber with a thing off-white head. Aroma of floral, grassy and pungent hops with notes of pine, citrus and caramel. Taste is floral and vegetal with a mild bitter finish. Easy drinking enough with some light pine and citrus and light sweet malt.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz. bottle, pretty fresh. The pour yields your standard, predominently clear, dark golden-amber body with a small, smooth head of eggshell tinted foam. Settling in to a super thin film with a skinny edge, the head leaves behind a soapy wash that mostly rejoins the body, leaving only scant spots of hard lacing behind. The nose is quite hoppy, showing bitter grasses most notably, but also featuring hints of pine and lemon pith. Beneath, notes of caramelized bread crust and very light toffee provide an unobtrusive malt base with character, which is tough to achieve. Flavors follow suit, very nicely balanced between the crusty bread with soft toffee sugars and the biting, bitter grass, pine resin, and dry, pithy citrus. Medium-statured, the palate is peppered with moderate carbonation that keeps things lively. It drinks a little slow for my taste, but comes across at least somewhat dry. Solid effort, overall. Victory does nice things with simple styles....and that is often a sign of a very talented brewer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is like a well balanced with a fair amount of hops and malt. The appearance is light amber/gold with a clumpy head. The taste is like the aroma with a bread like malt and a robust hoppy finish that is not that bitter. The palate is smooth. Overall a well crafted beer that resembles an IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a very clear orange with a half finger’s worth of head. Aroma is very herbal, with a bit of resin. The taste is very crisp, bitter, herbal with a clear finish. This is almost like a wet hop beer, minus any malty backbone that one might expect from an ipa. Body is very light. An excellent pale with a lot of attitude.

Crisp and balanced. The hops are there, but certainly not too bitter. A good session ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber with small white quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of caramel, pine and citrus. Taste is sweet with very fine bitters. The mouthfeel is almost silky. This is a solid session brew that is perfect for the spring and summer seasons.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Golden appearance with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly hops, very piney. Flavor is strong piney hops with a very clean finish. Slight malt sweetness on the tongue, but overall just a very strong pale ale. One of the better examples that I’ve found recently.
