3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Amber bodied with a moderate, frothy white head. Malty and hoppy nose with hints of caramel, spicy hops, light citrus and light toffee. Caramel, big malt notes, spicy hops, floral notes, light toffee and fruit round out the flavors in this beer. Body is medium but has a pleasant chewiness to it with a mellow carbonation feel. Ends with more spicy hops, floral notes, big malt, bready notes, caramel and light toffee. Nice session style pale ale.

Couple pints at Dos Perros, Durham. Mostly clear orange pour, with a faint earthen cloudiness to it. Thick body and a yummy looking creamy head, gathering all the bubs into it. Nose is softly fruity, some dry and very clean hops, and substantial bready malts. Mouthfeel is quite thick, almost as if it’d been drawn from a cask. Flavor is well balanced, with considerable dry hops (fruits more modest in the flavor than in the nose), with malts giving the body heft enough to make this a very smooth and refreshing APA.

Bottled. Poured clear lighter orange with a short, dense cap of white head. The aroma picked up sweet, lightly toasty pale and bready malts with lemon and floral accents.. a touch of honeyed backing.. well-balanced and pleasant. The flavor found honey and bready malts at the core, a touch tangy along with grassy bitterness on the edges.. more bitter, picking up some lemon on the finish. Lighter-bodied and a tad sharp on the palate.. too many sugars to be really refreshing.. a decent drinker overall.

Bottle 355 ml
Aroma: round fruity funky hop character. Slight citrus behind. Hoppy but not my favourite set up here.
Appearance: clear amber-gold with medium top. Beige white in colour. Sparse lace. 3+
Palate / Taste: Medium bodied. Crisp flavor with lemon like accents, citrus like hops. Refreshing and drinkable. Pleasant sweet notes at finish. Easy going.

Good American pale ale. I like pale ales alot and this one is not weak but it also doesn’t go above and beyond. With that said this is an excellent pale ale, if this was more redaly available I would buy this beer instead of sierra neveda.

Bottle. Not sure of the age. Poured clear golden brown with small head that faded. Light aroma and flavour. Kind of watery but still really good. I’m really glad I tried this and I recommend a taste.

Tangerine, dank stank, grapefruit, and slight mango aromas filled my nostrils. A soapy white head settled atop the orange gold ale. Sweetness followed by medium bitterness rolled across my tongue. Soft creaminess followed by a rather thin finish, this was pleasant but somewhere between Moon Man and Michelob Pale Ale.

4/18/11. 12oz bottle the wifey picked up randomly! Score! Clear apple-juice colored pour with a fluffy tan head that fades fast. Big aroma of hops and caramel maltiness supporting it nicely. A forward hop presence in the flavor with a lingering almost chocolately malt backbone. Nice!

16 oz sample on tap at The Ale and the Witch in St. Pete, FL. Really nice orange-citrus-hempy aroma present. Nice sweetness present, too, and pleasantly aromatic. Transparent orange-copper body with a smallish off-white head and fair lacing. Starts with a really strange chewy, dusty, wet cardboardy maltiness. Has moderately bitter herbal hop flavors to finish. Very papery and awkwardly dry.
