Lighter, friendlier, dare say session APA from Victory. As the description states ingredients in harmony Headwaters is an everyday drinker from Victory.

Nice easy drinking but hoppy beer. Pours a pale yellow with a slight orange tint and thin White carbonated head. Good retention. Hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit. Moderately sweet/malt flavor with earthy, herbal hops. Balanced. Almost an IPA. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper pour with a thin white head. Aoma is malty with a bit of citrusy hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. This one is primarly malty with a bready/grainy flavor with the hops with a subtle citrus hop flavor. Slightly bitter finish but short. Clean, crisp flavor and finish but nothing here is blowing my mind.

I poured a 12 oz bottle into my DFH snifter. This sat reddish-orange and gave off a soft aroma of simcoe hops. The flavor nicely balanced hops and sweetness, but was much subtler than advertised. That’s not all bad, though. Combine restrained but tasty flavors with typical Victory drinkability, and you get an ideal lawnmower or session ale. Yet another nice offering from the folks in PA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A dark golden color with a white head. Aroma contains pine, lemons, and oranges. The flavor is rather bitter with more citrus and some pine. The palate is a little thin but they keep going on about the quality of water in this beer, and there might be something to it. It sacrfices full body for a damn fine splash of water at end. Crazy I know. Overall a nice session APA

12 oz. bottle, $1.70 loose @ Binny’s. The closest thing in my cellar to a beer from Scranton while watching Michael Scott leave "The Office." Nice American hop smell when I pop the cap. Yellow with a tinge of brown body, big bubbles to a bubbly head. I guess the usual Cascade and Centennial, maybe our pal the Amarillo hop. Light malts with a dry finish to let the hops do their work. Very easy drinking and enjoyable for its assertive hop profile.

Bottle. Pours copper/orange with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are of bready, caramel malt with some fruit, lots of hop elements -- floral, peppery spice, pine, some citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Great APA -- very tasty and drinkable. Another winner from Victory.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Midtown Wine and Spirits, in Nashville. Pours a clear, weak-tea/pale copper with a pillowy off-white head; this is easily the clearest pale I’ve ever seen. The nose is of dank citrus and dried grass hop notes along with a slightly biscuity and sweet malt backing. Light to medium-bodied and silky while on-the-tongue, the palate transitions to a pleasant, moderately bitter finish that lingers nicely. The flavor amps up the same qualities found on the nose, with citrus, somewhat grassy and piny hop notes dancing along with toasty pale malt to create one of the tastiest packaged pale ales I’ve sampled in a long time. This is a beer that I could stick with throughout an entire evening. For me, that is among the highest compliments I can pay to a session beer. This is good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Nice pour ... copper, shiny and well-topped. Wow, the aroma literally peeled some of the sunburned skin off my nose -- pure oily, hoppy aromatics. The resin pops thru right away in the quaff -- but where’s the big malty undertow, the big earthy body? Could use more balance. (#4101, 4/27/2011)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Enjoy by Aug 17, 2011 but no idea when it was bottled. Poured into a DFH tulip glass a clear, darker than expected copper orange color with a 2 finger antique white head of both large and small bubbles. The aroma is not overly fruity or piney but has subtle hints of orange and grapefruit rind. Medium mouthfeel. The taste is more subtle than I thought it would be with a light sweetness up front with a light/medium amount of citrus bitterness that quickly fades. Mild lingering bitterness. Some lace. Overall, not bad but I was hoping for a wee bit more of a pop in flavor from this.
