3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear light amber pour with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is balanced and pleasing, with notes of grapefruit, lemongrass, flowers, and orange blossom. Flavor brings a touch of malt balance, but a really great level of hoppy bitterness; solid flavor presence, but not aggressive, and really drinkable. Light to medium bodied mouthfeel. Really a nice pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 3/21/11
Aroma: The nose is mostly grass and floral hops, with some malty/grainy notes too
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a small, quickly dissipating white head
Flavor: It tastes slightly sweet, fairly grainy, and with a reasonably big grassy bitter hop finish
Palate: The body is fairly crisp with an overly fizzy carbonation, and a fairly long, bitter finish
This was a pretty solid APA. The biggest qualm I had with this one is that is is overly carbonated, but the mouthfeel is nice and crisp, so that somewhat makes up for the carbonation issue. Beyond that, I enjoyed this one, it is a nice grass hop pale ale.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a really nice beer; smells deceptively straightforward with mild piney hops but a very attractive pour and head retention; taste is complex and changes through the glass, beautiful combination of bittering hops, aromatics, and rich maltiness.

Draft pour at Laser Wolf. Amber/gold color with a thick bubbly head. Slight lacing left behind. Aroma is pungent with hints of hops and citrus. Flavor is hoppy with a nice solid malt backing. No tricks, just a straight forward pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy amber orange with a white head. Smells of flowers and fresh hops. Flavor is much the same with a nice bitter roll on the palate going down with a dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted on 3/20/11 from a 12oz bottle at Lush West Town, enjoy by July 22, 2011. Pours clear, and very bright, light orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to a thin collar of lace. The nose is dank hops with resin, citrus, grass, and herbal bitterness, along with just enough cereal malt to balance everything out. The flavor is just as I would have hoped with the hops coming through very nicely and a good amount of cereal and bread malt as well, and just enough bitterness. The body is light with lively carbonation and a long citrus and bitter finish.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
The scent is horrible as well as the after taste, not much else to say. THe first victory beer I didn’t like.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle poured a pale amber with bubbling head. Aromas of lightly roasted malt and some grassy notes also. Flavor is bitter with a dry feeling. Body is medium and finish is dry and roasted. I felt that it had a deeper flavor than I expected

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Victory Headwaters Pale Ale is a crystal clear, lightly sparkling golden ale with a dense, bubbly white head that has outstanding retention and lacing. It has a huge, fresh hoppy aroma of pine and flowers. It has a very smooth medium body with a solid, dry finish. It’s a nice, simple, hoppy flavor with perfect bitterness and perfect balance. It tastes slightly dry and piny. This is a supreme example of an American pale ale.
