Drank from bottle , fruity smell, hoppy taste for a pale ale, seems closer to ipa. Really tasty.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, Buffalo, NY. Amber with a billowing creamy head; some spice and resin to the aroma; soft grapefruit taste; and a satisfying dry bitterness to finish. A pleasantly drinkable APA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Bottledog. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is soft, toasty, brown bread, wood and earth. The taste is smooth, toasty, grain, decent bitterness, light grapefruit peel and pepper with a crisp, dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. A bit watery if truth be told. Fairly inoffensive.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm, 7 March 2014) Pale amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange and toast. Malty, fruity taste with orange, apricots, crystal malt, a touch of toast and a balanced floral bitterness. Medium body, with a light sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottles (several). Lovely reddish orange-golden-amber pour, super huge frothy head dissipates slowly into a thin covering, leaving strong lacing and is easily livened up by swirling. Aroma is so open and pleasant; fruity, floral, caramel, slight yeast and biscuit. Flavor malt-forward, bread, grapefruit; rather long, medium bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full, frothy, slick and oily. Man, what a great APA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear, classic golden color with a one-finger, creamy, antique white head. The head dissipates too quickly, or I would’ve scored its appearance a 4. A well, balanced malt/floral hop bouquet is noted. A relatively rich mouthfeel yields to some mild astringency late. There’s something peculiar lying a the flavor’s foundation that disrupts the malt and hop characters. Almost like petroleum jelly. Nearly flavorless, yet has a distinctive flavor. It’s not off putting. Just disrupts what would otherwise be the natural flavors of the ale. It takes on the hop character and bitterness of a session IPA, but with a smidgeon better malt backbone.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Top notch pale ale. Citrus and earthy hops with grain/bready malts. Balanced, tasty, clean mouthfeel. Just the right amount of flavor but still light and very drinkable.
