COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Bottle poured an nice cloudy light brown with yellow hues, light white head that dissipated quickly, aroma is kind of herbal/woody and taste is hoppy but not overwhelming. Another nice offering from Victory.

I hoppy pale ale for sure. Some dark, earthy flavors. It’s a bit dank. Could stand to be a bit more crisp. Not a pussy beer though. I love Victory for a making a pale with some real flavor.

Citrus, mild caramel, floral, and fruit notes. Golden, clear, white head. Decent lacing. Full bodied, flavor like aroma, and lemon hints. Tongue zinger, dry, lasting high hop bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear orange. Citrus forward with notes of grapefruit and grass. Other aroma consists of bread and cereal. Great session beer.

Lighter amber with dense white head. Orange/citrus pine nose. Hops not a prominent in bitterness, malt is fuller than nose. Light palate. Hops provide a bit green hop flavor.

A Gorgeous, floral-hopped pale ale. Clean finish, good mouth feel, lots of refreshing citrus and (dare I say) geranium on the palate. A top quality ale (and easily my favorite) from the solid brewery that is Victory. Akin to similar hopped brews such as Daisy Cutter and Gumball Head.

Pours a deep gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of parsley, pine, light citrus, lightly toasted bread, and some caramel. Flavor of citrus, grass, herbs, toasted bread, and moderate bitterness. Finishes with an earthy bitterness and some lingering grass and citrus hop qualities. Medium to light bodied and quite dry. Decent pale ale.

On tap at Pizza Daddy. Very pleasant surprise. If I lived here in PA would be a great session beer. Hoppier than many pales, a little thin with moments of hoppy edge at first. Light in body for a pale ale. almost no head.

aroma is excellent balance of near caramel malts and lightly grassy hops. nice toasty malt character to boot. appearance is well polished deeper gold with active carb and filmy head, no legs. flavor is excellent toast near butterscotch with pleasant vegetative note tangled in. excellent balances abounds with unique character to both sides.

Pours a medium-dark orange with slightly off white head. Head fades too quickly for top marks, but the color is very nice. Aroma is very nice, with an orangey citrus note from the hops. Flavor is drier than I expected. The citrus aroma of the hops takes a background role in the flavor, giving the hoppiness a more bitter character. Overall, a very nice APA.
