3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fruit aroma/flavor+long-lasting hoppiness made this the type of beer that has me anxious for it to get warm outside. Another flavor loaded and very approachable beer from Victory has me impressed.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Pourhouse in Westmont, NJ. Slightly hazy mid-amber pour and a 2 finger dusky white head. Equal amounts of lemony citrus and biscuity malt in the nose. Same follows through to the flavors with a nice helping of citrus, a little butterscotch, caramel and cereal. Light, refreshing texture and a clean finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving glass: Poured from bottle into tall glass.
Appearance: Bright amber with nice off-white head and some lacing rings.
Aroma: Mostly citrus (orange and grapefruit), with some spiciness, pine and a hint of metal. Light dried malts underneath.
Taste: Mix of dry hops and dry malts. Grapefruit, spice, herbs, pine, caramel and biscuit all play a role, and are so heavily integrated that it is hard for anything to stand out - this is both a strength and a weakness. Herbal and slightly bitter & metallic on the finish.
Palate: Moderate carbonation, medium body, dry finish (actually dry throughout).
Overall: Very drinkable and refreshing APA - not surprisingly coming from the always solid (and often great) Victory. However, I have to admit that when a 15 year old respected craft brewery releases their first APA, I expect a little more. Maybe it is just a wee bit too herbal for me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured an nice cloudy light brown with yellow hues, light white head that dissipated quickly, aroma is kind of herbal/woody and taste is hoppy but not overwhelming. Another nice offering from Victory.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle in Delaware by myself. Pours dark golden with a great big white head and plenty of bubbles. Almost the color of dehydrated piss. Aroma is fresh, woody hops and a touch of citrus. Palate is filled with pine hop and there is a touch of apricot. Almost perfect bitterness. Really fresh. Delicious pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear, light, golden amber, with a thin, slightly off white head. Aroma has caramel, herbal hops, grapefruit, honey, and hints of bread. The taste is sharp in pine and grapefruit, still with a good deal of herbal tones, along with caramel undertones. It has a fresh, almost minty flavor that is noticeable throughout. Dry and pretty bitter, with a short aftertaste of pine and hops. More light in body, with a thin texture, with above average carbonation. Its alright, but I’m not very impressed.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong juicy piney, grassy hop aroma rising off a light golden/tan body with a medium white head. I would expect a huge hop flavor from the aroma, but it’s not as strong as it smells. Still plenty of dry, piney hops with a little skunkiness (in the good way) that are really well balanced by the lightly sweet, bready/grainy malt flavor. A light initial creaminess is flattened and dried out by a nice bitter finish. Very enjoyable and drinkable pale.
