COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Pint on tap. Straw-colored clear beer, persistent small head and decent lacing. OK smell, nothing too special, a little "rough". Overrated taste. Basic pale ale, nothing too fancy. Bitter, a little hop oil, kind of pleasant. Nothing bad in it , it’s got a light palate for a pale ale. Pretty good.

Poured a clear, golden amber. Grass and bread aroma. Taste has a nice bitter bite with spice. Great balance and a tasty brew, one of my favorite American Pale Ale.

A Gorgeous, floral-hopped pale ale. Clean finish, good mouth feel, lots of refreshing citrus and (dare I say) geranium on the palate. A top quality ale (and easily my favorite) from the solid brewery that is Victory. Akin to similar hopped brews such as Daisy Cutter and Gumball Head.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy medium copper with a thick 1.5 finger off-white head. Really good head retention. Aroma is full of citrus hops backed up by a little bit of malt underneath. Hops really overpower everything, though and are very inviting. The flavor really pulls the malt and hops together with lots of citrus up front carried by some toasted caramel underneath. A little bready malt as well. Bitterness ends up being on the light to moderate side and I really wish there was a little more malt. The beer finishes relatively clean and slightly sticky. Overall, another great beer from Victory. A great summer beer and one that is highly sessionable.

Draft at HopCat GR - pours a transparent orange thin tan head . Faint pine and mild citrus aroma . Palettes light and easy drinking . Mild piney flavor , not bad . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured an nice cloudy light brown with yellow hues, light white head that dissipated quickly, aroma is kind of herbal/woody and taste is hoppy but not overwhelming. Another nice offering from Victory.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2012 Hazy Yellow pours from 12oz bottle. Clean, crisp, hoppy, and twinged with citrus. Taste like an IPA to me because of its assertiveness. Excellent.

Alla mi moglie garba da morire, e io gliela compro volentieri perchè penso che il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo; bella agrumata e amarognola il giusto.

Deep copper orange color with big head. Aroma is citrusy, spices, caramel. Taste is citrus, a bit zesty, a bit caramel and pine, grapefruit and forest tree, overall rather light, but not watery. Very easy to drink, quite clean taste. A bit underwhelming though, I expected more. Still ok.

On tap, of all places, Moon Golf Club in Moon PA. Although not great, not a bad beer. Strong balance of hops and malts, good head retention, bready flavor, enjoyable. Good brew for an APA.
