COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Pours clear golden with good head from bottle. Aroma is sweet with citrus hops. Taste is smooth with grapefruit . a great pale ale. Like another reviewer commented its like a mini-IPA

Apricot pour with a nice off white head. Amazingly fresh citrus hop aroma, this is one of the better aromas from an APA that I’ve experienced. The flavor is a very well balanced mix of the hops with a buttery bread finish. Smooth body with light carbonation, this is the epitome of a session beer.

Copper color with white head. Citrus and pIne aroma. Sweet caramel flavor followed by citrus and floral flavors. Citrus finish but not real bitter. Very good pale ale.

Solid pale ale, fluffy white head, pine hops with some citrus. A liitle bit of dirty socks in the aroma. Aftertaste is pretty short but overall a lot of nice flavors. However by the end just wasn’t too excited to keep drinking.

Light orange with straw color. Outstanding aroma, hoppy floral essence. Beer is somewhat dry, somewhat bitter. Medium-strong hop on the flavor. Not bad.

Light orange pour, thin tight head. Grapefruit in the nose. Lightly bitter on the tongue. Toasted malt plays second fiddle to hop bitterness on the way out.

Great pale ale. Good forming head and great colored ale. Love the taste of the bitter hops. Crisp.
