Beautiful crystal clear gold pour with a fluffy half-inch white head. Positively bursting with citrus and pine hop aroma, with a touch of white grape scent mixed in. Flavor is very hop forward. Dry, grassy bitterness with a crisp pale malt character. Champagne-like dryness to the finish with a light lingering bitterness. Body is light and clean. Fantastic session beer. Really impressive compared to the seemingly endless array of over-malted "pale ales" on the market right now.

A happy order mixup scored me a bottle of this. All hops on the nose, really smooth and refreshing mouthfeel, if not a bit one note. Pretty light behind the hops, easy to drink, but not too complex.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear bronze with a minimal white head. Nose is semi-toasty cereal, I’m thinking cheerios, with an herbally, grassy (somewhat skunky) hop profile. Flavor is also toasty cereal grains, a little sweet, the hops have a bit of a resinous and floral character. I can tell that the water makes a difference. I really think the brew tastes "cleaner" but not "better". It finishes bitter and slightly metallic. Medium-thin mouth feel. Not worth the $11.50 a sixer you have to pay for it here.

12oz bottle. hazy copper in appearance, generous white head. citrus and floral hops dominate the aroma with some hints of sweet malt mixed in. pretty hoppy for a pale ale but balanced out by the sweet malt flavor. nice lacing and good head retention throughout the duration of the glass. solid pale!

FROM NOTES: August 23, ’12.
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip.
A: Overpowering grapefruit scented hops.
A: Pours a bright copper color with a one finger off white head. Decent retention and some nice lacing throughout.
T: Bready caramel malts with a substantial grapefruit bitterness. Again, some resin, but this really seemed to aim for the grapefruit aspect of Citra hops.
P: Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation.
O: Above average pale ale.

This pale ale pours a clear dark copper color. Huge white fluffy head. Lacing everywhere. As soon as I put this up to my nose I was impressed. This is one hopped up pale ale! Full of floral and piney hops with some citrus lingering. Nice presence of caramel malt.
The taste doesn’t quite match the amount of hops that the smell has but it’s still very hoppy for just a regular pale ale. Some IPAs would be jealous. The citrus comes in more here with the piney hops following. The beer finishes with a nice toastiness. Kind of like a biscuit.
Mouthfeel is a little bit on the light side, almost watery but it all fits together nicely and I don’t mind this kind of mouthfeel for a 5.10% beer. Goes down just really nice

Pours a deep golden color with a fair head. A well built pale with heavy hop presence and a slight bitter aftertaste. Hops have that piney, floral notes of possibly Cascade. With a manageable alcohol content a quite refreshing pale.

Overall a fantastic Pale Ale. Very floral, citrusy aroma. Nice copper pour with a medium dissipating white head. Taste is pretty good, but doesn’t stand up to the aroma. Average bitterness... Maybe a bit to watery. Good PA to session.

I like the ideology of this beer, being that I live right by the Brandywine. There’s a local pride knowing that the water in this beer is the same stuff running through my faucet. Pours a dark golden-brown with a light haze and an off-white head. nose is piney, with lots of caramel, citrus, and toast. Flavor is nice and bitter in the front, with loads of pine and citrusy hops. On the back end, it changes to a flush of caramel, and a finish of cereal malts and chex. Well-balanced.
