COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

12oz from the bottle. Aromas of light citrus rind, light pine, and a touch of toasted grain. The flavor follows the aroma, but is super refreshing! Damn drinkable and right in par. Bring this brew on

Lovely little beer. Light and grainy, leads onto a slight wet hop finish with a dash of vanilla on the tongue. Intetesting.

Very attractive deep golden color. Perfectly clear. Aroma of hay/grass - which I don’t find appealing. Taste is quite bitter without much of an accompanying malt or citrus flavor for balance. An OK drink but I’ve had much better offerings from Victory.

Great session ale. Aromas of citrus, pine, and grass. Taste is hoppy, bitter. Easy drinking, smooth, with huge white head on top of an orangish pour.

Nose is bright citrus. Really nice smell here. Taste is nicely muted hops with some carbonation. Finish is clean. Very good pale ale.

Copper orange, great clarity, small white head. Aroma is decent, sweet malts mingle with a grassy hop floralness. Flavor presents an adequate hoppy bitterness for a pale ale. Not overly bitter which makes for a great session beer. Malt base is sweet with a touch of caramel but overall makes for a great balance. Body is medium light, appropriate carbonation. Victory does no wrong.

Cloudy yellow pour with a disappearing white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit and hops. Flavor is extreme hops with some grapefruit and other citrus. Finish is dry, mild alcohol presence and, again, strong hops throughout. ---Rated via @jxray76 on Twitter

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2012 Pours a lovely, dark amber with a thin and rapidly disappearing head. Very aromatic of floral and herbal hops with quite a bit of citrus as well. The taste contains a great balance of malts.. Very lively effervescence that works with the high bitterness to give the tongue a pleasant sting.

Bottle from craft beer outlet. Overall a really good pale ale. There’s not really anything else to say. Victory is awesome.

Golden pour, about a finger of white head. Citric aromas coming from the glass, mostly orange. There is a good hit of bitterness on the tongue, the Citra hops really add a nice touch. Big citrus and faint tropical flavors are balanced by a light malt bill making this very session able and a very strong APA.
