COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. Well be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, weve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, weve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Buon esempio di american pale ale, limpida con una schiuma che tiene e compatta. Si beve bene e non stanca.

Middle of the road, perfectly fine pale ale. Good gateway beer for those beginning to experiment with hops on their palate.

(12oz bottle, BB Jul 8 2011, courtesy of Dixonian) Pours clear golden body with a medium odd-white head. Aroma of nuts, grass, light pine, florals, and weed. Flavor of dank, grass, grain, restrained citrus, florals, and earthiness with a dry, bitter finish.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral hops and light malts. Flavor about the same. Pretty hoppy for a pale ale. Average texture. A nice brew, but nothing special.

Bottle from Sams. Pours clear amber with minimal head. Nose of bitter hops and a solid malt profile showing some biscuit. A bit more bitter than expected on the taste, and not in a way that I really dig. Not very impressed.

Clear gold with a bit of white head. Aroma is sweet, citrusy and a bit spicy with a hit of grass. Taste is the same, and pretty clean with a peak of hop bitterness halfway in that fades into breadiness in the finish. $2/12oz

Medium sized offwhite head with fair retention and a little spotty lace. Clear, light amber color. Juicey hop nose, fruity, grapey, citrus is light. Medium bodied with a gentle carbonation, lightly oily on the palate. Gentle hops nad malts, grapefruit, grass with some dry toasty malts backin them. Light fruity, grapey notes. Dry finish, light bite. easy quaffer, enjoyable.

This was solid. Copper colored beer with a frothy, off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit, pine, and floral hops. Tastes of freshly cut grass, pine/spruce, and HUGE grapefruit notes. The finish is quite refreshing, and extremely fruity. Bitter hops are nicely balanced with the grapefruit. Easy drinking.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2011 Semi-cloudy copper color. Small pure white head. Bland and bitter aroma. Pale bitter flavor. This beer tastes more like a pale ale than any other pale ale I have ever had. Good job Victory. Weak falling lace. Mild compared to IPAs on the hops, but does not dissapoint. Cheers Penn.
