COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Citrus, mild caramel, floral, and fruit notes. Golden, clear, white head. Decent lacing. Full bodied, flavor like aroma, and lemon hints. Tongue zinger, dry, lasting high hop bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Best by 12/17/14, so this is quite old, oh well. Pours slightly hazy orange golden honey color, white head. Aroma is lots of citrus notes; orange, lemon, sort of floral resinous pine character as well, Flavor is still got quite a bit of a hop kick for such an old beer. Slightly glassy bottle taste to it, but otherwise, held up really well. Citrus hops, biscuit malt backbone. Very solid. Very solid APA.

Big hoppy brew and nutty flavours. Chewy to the end. Sweetish and good to the last drop.

Draught @ OT. Pours hazy deep golden with a rather small frothy white head that leaves some sparse sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and slightly fruity with caramel, grapefruit, grass, pine, resin and lemon zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, slightly malty and tiny fruity with bread, caramel, grapefruit, mango, grass, pine, resin and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is round, slightly sticky, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with bread, grapefruit, grass, pine and lemon peal. Solid old stale PA...

Alla mi moglie garba da morire, e io gliela compro volentieri perchè penso che il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo; bella agrumata e amarognola il giusto.

12oz bottle. 7/3/14 code date. Appearance: A hazy dark golden with a thick off white foam cap. Aroma: Nice aromatic toasted bread in the malt with a hint of floral and herbal hops. Taste: Rich, bready and toasted malt dominates. Bread crust. Bitterness is crisp and strong enough to balance the malt, with some herbal/floral hints. Mouthfeel: Medium with a medium high carbonation. Finish: some lingering bitterness and bread crust. Overall: A great English style pale, with rich bready and toasted flavors dominating the flavor profile. Definitely malt forward.

Pours clear yellow gold from 12 oz with minimal off white head. Beautiful floral and citrus hop aroma. Flavor towards bitter, remarkably smooth but pronounced bitterness. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very nice pale ale that borders on ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
