COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The radiant energy of the sun gives life to all that we enjoy. Flowing field of barley for malting, surging vines of ripening hops and even pure, clean water owe their vitality to the sun. Just as we do. So in crafting this unique, hazy orange-hued ale, we poured in nature’s great gifts of German malts and European hops to feed the dynamic yeast that we imported from Belgium. Here in the quiet tanks of Victory our yeast brought vitality to this Belgian style farmhouse ale. That energy has created impressions that range from lemon peel to black pepper, though such spices are not added. Great with a wide array of foods, count on the bright soul of Helios Ale to bring life to all of your meals!

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a nice thick foamy head with pretty good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic ester and sweet malt is quite enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by notes of rustic and floral malt with some sweet notes which may be a tad too sweet for the style. Body is quite full with good bottle conditioning and good carbonation. Well brewed with nice level of complexity but unfortunately it is a bit too sweet and lack some attenuation.

Pours yellow with good rocky saison head and great retention. Aroma is bretty tart lemon-lime, white pepper, farmhouse hay funk. Taste is pepper-forward with lemon, honey, and farmhouse sourness. Finishes pretty hoppy for a saison. Body is light, frothy, high carbonation, bitter hoppy dry funky tart finish. Overall, a pretty good saison and much better than I would have expected from Victory.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy, golden orange appearance with a white head. Slightly tart, funky, tangy tangerine-orange, slightly spicy aroma. Tart tangerine-lemon-orange citrusy, moderately funky, barnyard, a touch peppery, moderate floral hoppy flavor with a tangy, barnyard finish. For $3.99, this is a fucking steal.

Clear clean yellow. White head. Bitter straw aroma. The taste starts sweet and has a distinct wild yeast flavor but its very clean. It has a strong bitter component and a crisp bite. The finish is like old paper, hay, sugar and hops.

65cl Bottle, thanks Harmen&Kevin! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is funky, Brett, fruity, light tart, bit of sour apples. Flavour is bitter, earthy, funky, light tart, liquorice root, fruity, yeast, floral, lemon, funky bitter finish. Has a high Orval-factor imo. Medium bodied. Great beer.

Cold 22oz bottle: Pours a clear, medium golden color with a large, fluffy white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is of dough, light fruits and some barnyard. Taste is of lightly sweet grains with some citrus and spice. Medium bodied and smooth, with ample carbonation. Ending is lightly bitter and contains some alcohol notes.
