0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 dukeredhair (104) - California, USA - NOV 11, 2011
I’ve never purchased an uncarbonated beer before. Upon opening I noted the lack of hiss from the cap. Turns out that was cause for concern as the bottle pours completely flat. I was looking forward to this immensely since I love me some saison. Pours cloudy orange no head. Little to no aroma on account of it being completely flat. Taste is pepper, barn, funk, orange citrus but since it is so flat these all come across incredibly heavy. Palate is horrendous thick burning awful. Overall I have read other reviews which seem quite happy with this brew. I could not get over how awful it was and dumped it. I’ve only dumped 2 beers in my life. I’m not buying this again and I hope this isn’t an indicator of their quality control.

Pours from bottle a hazy golden with large fluffy head. Aroma is slightly dusty with orange tea, honey, and a tart note. Flavor is peppery with some lemon and grapefruit tarts and bitters. Overall nice but has a somewhat lasting bitterness at end.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 mkel07 (1557) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 4, 2011
650ml bottle. Light apricot skin colour with some haze and a decent crackling white head. Aromas of summer fruits mixed with spice and berries. Well balanced flavours with rockemelon coming through. Smooth and easy to drink with good mouthfeel and a asweet aftertaste.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 CanIHave4Beers (2002) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - NOV 2, 2011
Pours a golden color with a medium head and good lace.
The aroma is floral and slightly earthy. Plenty of citrus rind and light tropical fruit throughout as well as some hay and barn-yard-i-ness.
The flavor is full of lots of leafy earthy hops, the beer is very dry but maintains a nice level of fruitiness and a sharp spicy yeast character throughout.
The mouthfeel is very lively, almost champagne like.
This is wonderful, and at $3.50 a 22oz I wish it were in my neck of the woods
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Steeeve (305) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2011
Clear light gold pour with a fizzly white head. Aroma is very earthy, with lemon, pepper, hay and some serious funk. Definitely pretty funky as far as saisons go. A very tart, borderline sour finish. Grassy hops and plenty of the barnyard stuff. Palate is light and effervescent. Used to hate this one, but I’ve come to appreciate a good funky saison.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 caralkaline87 (386) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 19, 2011
Pours a fairly transparent blonde-gold with a decent, foamy white head. Nose is classic saison with fruit, funk, tartness, and a touch of hops. Taste is also classic saison (and good); earthy notes and somewhat candied sugary on the front, quickly adding funk, coriander, and a little bitterness on the back. Finish is medium and bittersweet and a touch sticky. Not earth-shattering but a well-made saison.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ttutony (509) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2011
Hazy golden yellow with a white head. Complex aroma of various yeast notes, a funky, sour, earthy blend. Slight sourness on the palate, smooth mouthfeel overall. Nice grainy blend of flavors with yeasty spice.

Pours a golden straw color with some head and little lacing. Nose is breaxy with hints of lemongrass. First sip is nicely malty with Belgian yeast. Good mouth feel. Finish is clean.
