3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a lighter and cloudy yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Musty and earthy aroma with some spices and fruits. Tastes of the same with lemons and citrus. Lively body.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden, head was big and bubbly at first pour. Went down to a small lacing head as it sat. Aroma of Belgian spices (similar to what is in their Golden Monkey), earthy, slight hops and yeast. Tingles on the tongue. More spices yeast, some hops and various fruits (pears/citrus) in the flavor.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a saison with complexity. Earthy with aromas of spices, a bit of hops, some pineapple, and a bit of damp soil. This is a beer that I could drink after working in the fields of a farmhouse in Belgium. Nice and thick head with a golden tint. I love the yeasty and fruity dry finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is quite an impressive achievement for an American brewer. Most US saisonís I have had sucked, but not this one. Beer pours nicely golden with a big, thick, retained whipped egg white head. Lots of carbonation here. Aroma really hits the notes for the style. Lots of different floral charachteristics, some yeastiness, and just a hint of cobwebs. Flavors are appropriately restrained, with some hoppy spiciness, yeast and a very dry finish. Yum.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, April 05.....Poured a cloudy straw color with a nice rising head that stayed the duration of the beer. Decent aroma with some malt and spice. Good smooth taste with notes of spice, hop and yeast, didnít really get that fresh hop taste the label talked about, but none the less a good beer

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - corked and caged. Bottled on Apr 01 05. Cloudy gold body with a tall foamy white head. Nose is yeasty and sweet with flowery notes throughout and light malt. Lots of fruit and spice as well - tangerines, pears, coriander, and light white peppery notes. Hints of lemon as well. Taste is wheat, lemon zest, lots of Belgian yeast, tangerines, pears, candy sugar and flowery hops. Pretty good stuff! Body is very effervescent with dryness and light chalkiness throughout. Overall has a light feel. Finishes with more spice and big Belgian yeastiness. Lots of fruit, flowers, light hops, wheat and candy sugar. Nice beer!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 4/1/05. Nice bright gold color; fine dusty hazy picking up the light. Thick frothy white head.
Bright yeasty / wheaty orange and corriander. Sugared hops.
Some light fruity spices. Nice delicatey spiced and slightly malty and hopped orange. Very well blended flavorsÖ a nice beer version of a champagne to me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks Dave! Bottled on 4/1/05. Pours to a huge foamy white head with spotty lacing. The body is a bright straw/gold color. A haze is cast through the body. The aroma is very nice. Tart fruits and grains. Kinda like a Flemish sour. Not really spicy or grainy. Itís farm-housey. Smooth, tart grains, Belgian yeasts, tart yet sweet and mellow. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated. It fits well.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 bottled on 4/1/05. Bright yellow-orange hazy body under a thick white head. Very spicy aroma with a pear+yeast bite. The flavor takes on more malt characteristics: honey, and medium roasted malt (not of the caramel sort just kilned). A slightly funky (fermented pear skin) yeast ties the malt in with bitter, stemmy, barky hops. The same flavors in the finish but with a mineral element. Medium-thin mouthfeel with low, mineral-laced carbonation. I like this take on the Saison style.
