COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The radiant energy of the sun gives life to all that we enjoy. Flowing field of barley for malting, surging vines of ripening hops and even pure, clean water owe their vitality to the sun. Just as we do. So in crafting this unique, hazy orange-hued ale, we poured in natureís great gifts of German malts and European hops to feed the dynamic yeast that we imported from Belgium. Here in the quiet tanks of Victory our yeast brought vitality to this Belgian style farmhouse ale. That energy has created impressions that range from lemon peel to black pepper, though such spices are not added. Great with a wide array of foods, count on the bright soul of Helios Ale to bring life to all of your meals!

25 oz bottle, Andersons, $2.99 (!). Pale straw color; large, rocky, white head. Aroma yeast, lemongrass, bread or straw, spice (coriander?), puke, pepper (white pepper?). Flavor sweet and sour, plenty of yeast, bread. Mouthfeel medium-thin and frothy. Nothing here takes me by surprise, but, geez, this is just a really pleasant, sweet, fresh, easy-drinking beer, and Iím really surprised to be saying I simply enjoyed drinking this.

Bomber into snifter glass, even amber-gold color with bright white head. Aroma of funky yeast, bubble gum, pepper, musty, earthy and slight citrus note. Taste brings out notes of grass hay, bready, grainy, faint lemon and herbal (coriander stands out). Light body, low carbonation, dry, slick with yeast spices as the finish. Pretty tasty farmhouse ale, enjoying this.

2009 bottle, 750 ml, as Victory V Saison. Luckily, not a gusher. Healthy pop of a cork, pours dark yellow, with lots of flakes in suspension. Smell is light malt, with those claimed notes of pepper and citrus peel. At five years old, the scent is still good, just not very "big." Taste is just a bit sweet, and there is some taste of dead yeast floating in it. Gets a little syrupy, but not overbearing. Alcohol is there, but creeps up slowly. It has held up its taste pretty well for the style.

Bottle. Clear yellow. Lemon, black pepper, wheat, and honey in the taste and aroma. Lacking balance and a farmhouse bite or spice. The lemon and honey were fighting for the spotlight. The worst victory beer I've had and I'm usually a big fan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Yeasty, a little sour, dry, with some funk notes. Peppery spice notes combine with the alcohol to give it a nice kick. A good example of the style, tastes pretty authentic.

Bomber bottle. Clear golden with nice, slightly rocky head. Spicy slightly musty earthy nose. Earthy musty flavor, much more ífarmíhouse than traditional saison. Crisp with dryness that lingers in finish. Aftertaste is a bit too much.

Bottle. Clear gold with creamy white head. Aroma is yeasty bread esters, citrus fruit, barnyard grassy notes, floral notes, and light spice. Flavor is dry, bready malts with light spice and hop bitterness, and crisp citrus esters; flavorful, dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

From a bomber. Pours very hazy yellow gold with tiny visible particles and a bubbly, frothy off white head. Tastes like like musky lemon, malt, herbs, dry spices, lavender. Very dry feel. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like sweet yeast, doughy, floral, lemon.
