3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A citrusy wheat beer, essentially Victory’s version of Blue Moon. A good beer when you’re in the mood for that style, but not my favorite variety.
I find it fascinating that people literally state that they ENJOY the taste of “barnyard, leather, hay…” fascinating!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber into snifter glass, even amber-gold color with bright white head. Aroma of funky yeast, bubble gum, pepper, musty, earthy and slight citrus note. Taste brings out notes of grass hay, bready, grainy, faint lemon and herbal (coriander stands out). Light body, low carbonation, dry, slick with yeast spices as the finish. Pretty tasty farmhouse ale, enjoying this.

2009 bottle, 750 ml, as Victory V Saison. Luckily, not a gusher. Healthy pop of a cork, pours dark yellow, with lots of flakes in suspension. Smell is light malt, with those claimed notes of pepper and citrus peel. At five years old, the scent is still good, just not very "big." Taste is just a bit sweet, and there is some taste of dead yeast floating in it. Gets a little syrupy, but not overbearing. Alcohol is there, but creeps up slowly. It has held up its taste pretty well for the style.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Clear yellow. Lemon, black pepper, wheat, and honey in the taste and aroma. Lacking balance and a farmhouse bite or spice. The lemon and honey were fighting for the spotlight. The worst victory beer I've had and I'm usually a big fan.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Yeasty, a little sour, dry, with some funk notes. Peppery spice notes combine with the alcohol to give it a nice kick. A good example of the style, tastes pretty authentic.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber bottle. Clear golden with nice, slightly rocky head. Spicy slightly musty earthy nose. Earthy musty flavor, much more ’farm’house than traditional saison. Crisp with dryness that lingers in finish. Aftertaste is a bit too much.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a bomber. Pours very hazy yellow gold with tiny visible particles and a bubbly, frothy off white head. Tastes like like musky lemon, malt, herbs, dry spices, lavender. Very dry feel. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like sweet yeast, doughy, floral, lemon.
