100% Saaz hops and floor-malted Bohemian pils malts faceoff to pack this all-Czech lager with a flavorful punch you would not expect from a brew with only 4.7% abv. Light and crisp, yet slightly herbal in its hoppiness, this extremely drinkable and delicious brew is sure to light the lamp.

Draft. Poured a clear pale color with a moderate frothy white head that lasted and had good lacing. Medium floral hop and earthy malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

On tap at Bangers & Lace. Pours a clear crisp gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has grassy hops with a backing of earthy grains. Flavor has a lot of earthy grains and earthy grass with a bit of light pine.

On tap at Dutch’s. Clear yellow color. Thin white head. Few loose splotches of lace. Good clean bready aroma, lightly peppery, no off-flavors. Satisfying, but not intrusive amount of hops. Light hint of lemon citrus. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Slightly dry in the finish. Light to medium body. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Tasty, well-done pilsener. Victory knows pilseners. This is up to their standard.

Draft to pint at Dutch’s. Looks good for the style; a transparent gold with white head. Smells doughy and lightly hoppy. Tastes like it smells, only more robust, with a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grass, toast, toffee, pine, and light citrus. Taste of toasty malts, bread, citrus, and light grassy bitterness.

Tap. Xfinity Live. PSU vs Temple. Poured a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is dry bready malt and a clean crisp hoppiness. The flavor is much the same, very clean and dry with a crisp and sharp bitterness that lingers nicely. A little more body than their usual Pils. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty great beer, about what I expect from a Victory lager.

Draught at Barcade, 8/26/16.
Clear, light golden with a touch of copper and a small, white head that shows low retention.
Light grassiness and minor herbal character shows low to moderate hoppiness, with quite a bit more malt adding spongecake, vanilla and whitebread. Clean, no alcohol but a bit too much maltiness, being rather sweet/bready so not even all that enjoyable (I have nothing against malt-forward pilsners, provided the malt is done well). Really not much else going on....
Again, rather dominated by the malt portion, with plentiful breadiness and sweet honey. Expectedly, the saaz hops aren’t a tour de force of flavor and bitterness, but something’s gotta give here, because the beer ends up just too sweet/mushy. Had this been even a bit more dry, it would have come off far more balanced and drinkable. As is, it’s not particularly easy to even finish a pint of it. Otherwise, it is clean and there is no alcohol.

I thot this was the best of the 4 samples I tasted at the bocktown, one mug of on tap fun each. thn head and clear almost lemon yellow. smell is clean and fresh, not bad but sterile. decent fresh taste. easy to like, gentleman. friendly overall, good beer experience. slight bitter bite but you can only perceive it near the end. I liked that.
