Very Very good. Extremely piney and ’stinky’ hop profile. Very fresh and nicely bitter. A little hints of thai basil. Definitely seems well below 9%. Awesome surprise how good this is.

CelticBrew (859) - The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA - DEC 24, 2014
Pours from 12 oz bottle a hazy golden body with nice thin white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is very nice, with rotting citrus, some wet pine needles, dank hops and wet earth. Flavour of tropical fruits, mango, peach, pineapple, citrus fruits, some bubble gum, fruity sweetness, and a lightly bitter finish. Very drinkable, could be dangerous.

This beer smells and tastes like feet. Super disappointed with victory. the beer tastes of a funky garlic with rotten fruit. Terrible

Beaver (1342) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a medium creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is spicy floral oniony hops.

The flavor is a little sweet malt and a bunch of spicy floral oniony hops. The mouthfeel is medium to fill bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, not my kind of hop profile.

Draft at the growler. Bright golden hoppy taste with a nice crisp flavor. Very drinkable and easy on the palate

Pours golden straw and clear with a medium white head. Aroma is tropical fruit (mango) and citrus with some alcohol heat. Taste is tropical fruit, grapefruit and and herbal grassiness from the hops. Lingering bitterness. Malt is just a subtle background sweetness. Palate is medium bodied with crisp carbonation and a little alcohol heat. Overall an exceptionally drinkable DIPA that does what it should: the malt gets out of the way of the hops and it just enough to make it balanced and drinkable.

12 ounce bottle. Golden color. Light malt taste with touch of honey and strong mosaic hop profile. Tropical fruit.

pretty easy drinking ipa, especially for a 9% imperial. Pilsner malt and mosaic hops’ll do that :) Fruity and tropical aroma, not overly bitter at all. Not in Dirt Wolf category, but pretty nice.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 16/20
NikkTwist (1746) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2014
Draft at Moriartys. Clear gold with a slim delicate white flame top. Not that much aroma when cold, which initially masks the huge grassy lemon floral taste. Unripe oranges. Lemon thyme. Pineapple cores. Strong hop bite. When it warmed one could easier sense the light caramel malts underneath. Buttered shortbread. Nicely done.

This beer looks like a nice pilsner but has a nice tropical citrus IPA aroma. Over juicy pineapple tropical mango flavors. I prefer the classic piney citrus west coast hops as opposed to the juicy new varieties like mosaic.
