4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a slightly hazy, bright golden yellow color with a one finger pillowy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very good retention with streaks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down.
Dank, floral aroma with earthy pine and fresh cut grass countered by tropical fruit sweetness and a pale malt backbone. There’s a subtle onion/summit presence along with fresh buds, pine sap and spruce tip. The grassy character really stand out before being countered by hints of grapefruit, pineapple, and citrus rind as it warms. Decent pale malt presence that doesn’t interfere with the juicy hop profile giving off notes of bread, biscuit, cracker and faint light fruit. The nose could have a bit more tropical/citrus fruit character in my opinion but otherwise this beer is uber fresh and smells pretty good at this point.
Medium body with a blast of dank, sticky hops providing the perfect amount of dry bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes and pale malt backbone into a dry finish. The hop profile is very complex with resinous oils, earthy, grassy pine, tropical/citrus fruit sweetness and scallion/onion-y, summit-like flavors. Really well balanced with a stronger tropical/citrus fruit character than the nose hinted at and delicate pale malts countering the earthy bitterness. Hints of grapefruit, mango, pineapple and lemon peel followed by subtle biscuit and graham cracker flavor. The ABV is excellently masked with no heat to speak of. Dangerously drinkable which is surprising considering this beer’s complexity. One of the better IPAs I’ve had in some time. This beer destroys DirtWolf in my opinion and is up there with some of the best batches of Stone Enjoy By. I haven’t been a big fan of most of Victory’s IPAs but I highly recommend seeking this beer out.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Bright straw, moderate to large frothy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Semi-sweet yet hoppy nose.   Similar on the tongue, sweeter than others, and not all that hoppy.   Expected it to be a bit bigger, but its fairly soft, yet still quite delicous.   Hoppy, bitter, semi-sweet, almost seems like a regular IPA to me.   I dunno, maybe I am biased with my west coast IPAs seeming to be like east coast IIPAs.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean crisp hoppy finish.   Well made beer, perhaps a 1˝ IPA, but doesnt seem like a full Double IPA.   Still very enjoyable tho!

Poured a darker orange color from the tap with aromas of light booze, caramel, and some citrus. Flavors were the same with some cloying sweetness, light booze and a a touch of pine, decent.

Beer smelled and looked great nice filtration on it to make it crystal clear but the flavors quite boozee with is not what I am looking for in an IPA but it does finish quite smooth but still find my self looking for that great pine hop flavor that never makes it through the malt not a fan sorry

Pours a burnt orange color with a white head. Hop, citrus, floral and biscuit aroma. Mango, tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit, floral, hop and biscuit flavors. Medium body and carbonation. Citrus finish. Past best by date but still delicious, no oxidation or undesirable flavors noticed.

Draft at the Woodward Theater. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small white head that settles into a ring and leaves some spots of film. Notes of citrus fruits, sweet malts, resin, pineapple, mango, melon, grass, and pine. Medium-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty mouthfeel. Really good imperial IPA; another winner from Victory.
