Bottle. Very pale color - clear. Strong, hoppy aroma. Very hoppy with some malt there too. Do not taste the alcohol at all, which is rare for anything around 9%. Love this one.

Draft. Nose is lightly floral with some citrus. Pretty weak for a DIPA. Pour is slightly hazy orange. Laces well on the glass. Taste is pretty malt forward. If this is a winter seasonal that explains it. But the hops are flat in this one.

Bottle. Light golden body. Frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, toasted grain, pine, flowers and orange. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Dry finish. Lots of hop flavor without being overly resinous. Taste of lemon zest, light pine, fruity esters, biscuit.

Hazy, yellow/gold appearance with a large white head and good lacing. Sweet, flowery aroma upfront turns to soft, tropical fruit. Flavor mimics the fruity characteristics of the aroma. Bitterness is modest with a solid malt backbone. Medium-to-full bodied, decently carbonated mouthfeel leading to a muddled, lingering finish.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Pine and floral hops on the nose; follows onto the palate. Lots of flowers on this, not really for me.

Extremely light colored body, golden yellow and glassy clear, this has a very fine, bright white head. The beer looks delicate. It has a sexy, candy-like fruity hop aroma with a touch of acidic citrus. It smells thin in maltiness, but rich with an alcohol-laden hop punch. Itís very unique in the mouth. At first you think itís the alcohol, but then maybe bitterness... and then you may be convinced that itís simply an intense bouquet of hop flavor thatís by all means not shy. The hop flavor is filled with herbal, resinous, floral notes that really, really control the experience of the beer. It maintains its thin character throughout the drink, keeping a simple, but effective posture: deliver that delicate, but potent and floral hop bouquet void of any malty obstruction. It does it well. Classy, clean, and sexy.

Excellent double IPA! The only problem I have with this beer is the sweetness. The hops get slightly overshadowed by the fruitiness and sweetness of the hops and malt. This is still a very delicious beer, though. The Hop Ranch poured a dark golden color with a very minimal head. The head left a small amount of lacing around the inside of the glass, as well. The nose was pretty well-balanced with notes of spicy and fruity hops, along with sweet malt and alcohol. The flavors were quite strong and the body was fairly thick for a double IPA. Again, the sweetness of the malt and fruitiness of the chosen hops out-weighed the sting of the hops. Donít get me wrong, thereís plenty of hops in this beer, but they are just too much in the background of the palate for my taste. This is certainly a sipping beer; not one to enjoy several glasses of over a single evening.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Noamís office. Thanks Tom L. Yellowish, clear with white film. Hoppy, green, white grapefruit and some guava aroma, light body, mild carbonation, bitter hoppy finish.

Pours hazy golden color with small white head out of bottle. Aroma of tropical fruits with citrus. Strong citrus flavor with finish of hops. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
