Draft. Pretty disappointing. Not much flavor. Sort of earthy and sticky. Didn’t enjoy this.

12 oz. bottle at home. Pours a clear light golden/straw color with a small white head. The aroma has citrus fruits, hints of tropical fruits, perhaps a splash of melon. The flavor sees the fruit character more subdued and the toasted pale malt base come out, moderate bitterness, some grapefruit, citrus peel. This is decent, but I find it a strange choice for an Anniversary beer.

Bottled. Pours a pale golden "pale lager" color with a small white head. Aroma is hops, lemon, some malty biscuit, watery, almost wet dog Aroma you can just tell this is not an imperial ipa. Flavor is caramel malt, honey, lemon, orange, hops. Flavor is pretty solid. An ok session. Not exceptional.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, golden, nice white head and little bit of spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, combined with some malts. Taste is malty, hoppy, some citrus fruit and a bit of grass. Very nice SIPA; very drinkable and certainly quite enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours vibrant clear pale gold, like apple juice, with one finger of white head that subsides. Aroma is juicy dankness with a deep, piney note, plus apple, tangerine, white grape, grapefruit juice, crackery grains. Taste is gulpable white grape, pomelo, candied lemon, grapefruit zest, lychee – lots of pale fruit mingling with pilsner-like pale malt and grassy hops. Moderately bitter finish. Fairly creamy but still light mouthfeel for the ABV. Very nice.

Pours a very light straw blonde with two fingers of frothy white head. Grassy aroma with some citrusy notes and an earthy biscuity malt backing. Very light and dry in the mouth with a touch of grassy bitterness. A lightly skunky funk shows as well. Very light and dry on the finish.

Clear gold pour, a thumb of head. Fairly hop-forward aroma, orange, tropical fruit, grassy. Hops at the forefront, citrus zest, grass. Light caramel and cracker malt comes through better while drinking than in the aroma. Lighter body. Easy drinking, and probably not a bad introduction to lighter IPA.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours transparent golden with a white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy hops, some pale malts, dough, and some bread/graininess to it. Flavor the same with the hops a little too light even though the malts are also light. Average to lighter texture. A decent session IPA but the malts and hops don’t mesh perfectly.

Best before May 19, 2015.
Glass: Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Clear golden body with a frothy white head that has good staying power.
Aroma: The aroma is full of hops. I get a blend of fruits, orange, mango, pear, white grapes and a dash of cantaloupe. Malts are clean hinting at toast.
Taste: Crisp with toasted malts showing through, building by the finish to a mildly sweet presence. Hops overlay, mildly floral and bitter with a dash of orange, mango, white grape and cantaloupe.
Palate: Crisp and clean, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Crisp and easily crushable. The price is darn near right for a session, certainly below many other session IPAs. It’s a shame they re-brewed a beer for their anniversary though.

12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC. Pale yellowish-orange pour with a quick off-white head. Aroma of pine and wet grass, mostly, with light caramel malts. Taste is plenty bitter but balanced with grassy and floral hops nearly sharing the stage with toffee and caramel malt. Finish is bitter but short-lived. A nicely done session IPA.
