Couple drafts at Alla Spina with Patrick. Pours a hazy pale gold with thin bubbly white head and light soapy lace. Nose of grass, weed, citrus and hay. Medium to light body. Taste is citrus and grass and slightly grainy. Nice and fresh. Good session

Draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of herbal, green, snappy hops, pale crackery malt. The taste is snappy green, herbal hops and pale malts. Medium bodied, well balanced.

Tap @Union Jacks pale yellow color with thin white head. Some hop aroma but not super strong. A bit of earthiness - maybe some Saaz in here? Clean, crisp flavor - sharp and refreshing. What a session beer should be. Good alternative to Founders All Day.

Blind Tiger, NYC tap: Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma is grassy hops and a modicum of malts. In honesty, I found that the taste was too light. Kind of minerally, one-dimensional hop taste. I was not impressed, but I guess session IPAs are meant to reach a wider beer drinking audience. I guess this is like the second-coming of light beer.

Quick rating because I'm tired. Very light and crisp. Grassy APA; not really an IPA. Reminds me of a cross between Headwaters and Prima but with a lighter body. Great small beer to drink out of an imperial pint glass. Put it in tallboys and I'd drink it all summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Pony bar Hk with Andrew and Jay. Pours a clear pale straw body with thin white lacing. Aroma is fresh cut grass, light bitter grapefruit and citrus hop. Mouthfeel is on the thinner side with dry citrus fruits, grass, light pine and light grain in the finish. Tastes exactly how it sounds - a sessionable IPA. A nice offering from Victory.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a golden color with a smaller sized white head. Floral hops, citrus, pine, and some fruitiness. Nice for a low alcohol beer.

Draft at Ginger Man. A little rough around the edges, but still enjoyable. Pours clear gold with a white head. Big fresh grassy dank hops, with moderate bitterness, zero malt character, and a quick hoppy finish. A little thin as well. Comes across a little to over the top for a beer this small. I love me some session IPAs, but the point is to make them drinkable. Not that I wasn’t able to finish the pint I ordered, but I certainly wasn’t left wanting another.
