Earthy and thirst quenching, Victory’s Dry Hopped Pils features bright hop aspects hinting of lemon and hay which combine with soft German malt notes for an integrated and refreshing finish that leaves you reaching for another.

Bottle in Salisbury, CT - picked up at Stateline Liquors. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma has has some simple, pale bready malts, cereal, flowers, straw. Light to medium sweet flavor with subtly sugary cereal and pale biscuits, mellow bitter straw and hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, some further cereal, light citrusy hops, mild bitter grass, hay. Very tasty lager.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2014 ok earthy hoppy aroma with some citrus but also some heavy woody honey like malts - almost a bit boozy -- flavor has some citrus hops as well as some pilsner like peppery hops and bready malts - just a bit heavy on the malt side with one dimensional cereal flavor - - out of the summer sampler, it seemed that this had more in common with a blonde ale than summer love which was a bit drier - overall ok, but a bit flabby malt wise for a good pilsner *theres just too much persistent corn syrup and cheerio presence for me...the hops could be better too

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent light gold with foamy white head. Smells solid too; a nice balance of citrus hops, pilsner malt, and lager yeast. Tastes like it smells with a lighter-bodied mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.

355ml bottle. Seemed to have missed the #2. Clear gold pour, nice champagne like carbonation bubble, whispy white head that leaves thick lacing. Aroma is intensely hopped. Tons of orange marmalade and fresh herbs, malt character is surprisingly stale sadly. The flavor is intense orange, herbs, pepper, surprisingly sweet mid palate with a dry finish though not ultra-bitter. Like Prima this is essentially and over-hopped pilsener. It works to a certain degree but this doesn’t have bitterness yet it is just hop flavor and hardly any malt. More of an IPL. Still enjoyable though.
