Gigantic citrus and resin hop aroma, but with a mouth-watering sweetness. Very zesty citrus and resin hop flavour. There’s certainly malt in here too, as there is a sweetness that tempers it nicely, but this truly is all about the noble hop, front and center. Finish is long and very bitter. bennylava (86), California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours golden with white head. It has a fairly sweet malt backbone, and then the hops come alive. Strong hops citrus and grass flavors which leave a moderate lingering bitterness. Sparky27 (1642), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours a clear golden with one finger creamy head and nice lacing. Nose is sweet grass and mellow grapefruit. Taste is sweet malt, light citrus and a nice resin bite in the finish. Medium, semi-creamy mouth feel. Really mellow for a DIPA, but very good. Thanks G-Unit! lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA

A smoothe Double IPA with great flavor. The appearance is great with a golden color and a small white head. The taste of wonderful hops show through on this one. Great Beer!!! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 30, 2008 Bottle purchased at Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a clear orange gold with lots of rising bubbles and a pillowy, creamy off-white head that marks its descent with a ladder of wispy lace. The nose is of floral and lightly citric hops backed by solid caramel malt and a touch of clean alcohol. Medium-bodied and creamy, the mouthfeel transitions to a lightly grainy, bitter finish. The flavor is a solid caramel malt front with a significant hit of resinous, floral and lightly citric hops that linger in a bitter aftertaste. If you’re a hop-head, this one will certainly satisfy your need for a fix. If you’re looking for superior flavor and balance, from an IPA, however, Victory’s Hop Devil is probably the better choice. Despite that, this is still a very enjoyable brew. Smell is primarily grassy hops with some citrus hops coming through. Flavor is mainly hops with a little malt to add some balance. Finish is very bitter. Overall I really enjoyed this beer.
