(Bottle (best by 11/26/08) from Julio’s Liquors) Pours clear, bright light amber with a small off-white head that kind of sticks around providing a very thin layer. Smells very hoppy - grapefruit and pine with some vanilla and caramel underneath. Mouthfeel is a little thin and loose, fairly sticky. Very light thin sheets of lacing melt away quickly. Flavor is quite massive bitterness with flavor of grapefruit rind and pine. The heavy hops overlay a rosewatery, sticky sweetness. Just a little more of a thick malt backbone would help this. Lingering bitter grapefruit-pine aftertaste. A good beer but a little abrasive - quite the tongue scraper!

Oct 2, 2008 On tap at Stone Bistro, nice hop aroma’s, pine, complex and very nice to drink. Lighter body with slight bitter on the finish. Nice Hoppy brew.

Sep 26, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Drug. Lightly orange tinged gold color with a vigorous off-white head. Lucious floral hop aroma. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is pale malt dominated by floral and fruity hop. It’s not so much bitter (though it is bitter) as it is hoppy. Particularly in the finish. More astringent than bitter. Brilliant.

Sep 22, 2008 Bottle. Very clear golden with a fizzy white head, leaves a little lacing. A sweet maltiness, citrus and pine hops on the nose, a little toasted malt. Not super hoppy on the nose. Some citrus, super malty with toasted notes, quite bitter finish. Very bitter finish, med carb and mouthfeel. Would have liked it to have more hop aroma, but kudos to Victory for putting out a big IIPA in 6ers.

Sep 1, 2008 Bottle at the Twickenham Tasting. Aroma is yee haa, bitter, hoppy, citrus goodness. Taste is similarly awsome, exactly what i want in an iipa.
