mansquito (568), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Apr 10, 2008 Light coppery color with a white head that leaves thick lacing. Fruity hops aroma. Taste is really bitter and really hoppy, but not too hoppy I don’t think. It really strives to be a super hoppy beer, but it succeeds in ways which other doubles don’t I think. Semi-sweet fruitiness. Almost peppery taste, but mostly a lot of hops.
jackstraw (5), USA does not count Jul 12, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Nice citrus hop character. This really drinks like a west coast style IPA/DIPA. Decent malt flavor in the background, but the hops are the main event. I’m glad that I found this, it will be a new stand-by for me. DuffMan (1868), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 10, 2008 Very hazy orange amber. Gigantic citrus and resin hop aroma, but with a mouth-watering sweetness. Very zesty citrus and resin hop flavour. There’s certainly malt in here too, as there is a sweetness that tempers it nicely, but this truly is all about the noble hop, front and center. Finish is long and very bitter. bennylava (46), California, USA Jul 9, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours golden with white head. It has a fairly sweet malt backbone, and then the hops come alive. Strong hops citrus and grass flavors which leave a moderate lingering bitterness. Sparky27 (413), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jul 8, 2008 Another bottle courtesy of GMCC2181. Pours a clear golden with one finger creamy head and nice lacing. Nose is sweet grass and mellow grapefruit. Taste is sweet malt, light citrus and a nice resin bite in the finish. Medium, semi-creamy mouth feel. Really mellow for a DIPA, but very good. Thanks G-Unit! daforrds (185), richmond, Indiana, USA Jul 4, 2008 Shane Mosely was too good for the lightweight division, so he decided to go up to welterweight, and junior middleweight, and then he was to small and had trouble with guys that could keep him on the end of a jab. People forget how good this guy was at 135, had he stayed he would have been one of the best ever...
