warrior (213), Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 12, 2006 Dark Yellow in color with a decent size white head that clings to the glass. Nice full citrus type hop aroma dominates the beer. Good citrus hop flavor comes through with some malt flavors. Has a nice slightly dry finish from the hop bitterness. I would’ve never guessed that this is a 8.5% beer as it is well hidden. I like this version of a Imperial IPA as it reminds me of a regular Pale Ale on steroids and does not use crystal malt as other ones do. It made for a different type Imperial IPA compared to other ones I have had, good job Victory.
MuttyD (87), Cambridge, USA Oct 4, 2008 Orange pour, white head. Spicy and floraly. Typical of a double IPA, very bitter finish. paytoplay (56), , California, USA Oct 2, 2008 On tap at Stone Bistro, nice hop aroma’s, pine, complex and very nice to drink. Lighter body with slight bitter on the finish. Nice Hoppy brew. bhensonb (3004), Woodland, California, USA Sep 26, 2008 Bottle from South Bay Drug. Lightly orange tinged gold color with a vigorous off-white head. Lucious floral hop aroma. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is pale malt dominated by floral and fruity hop. It’s not so much bitter (though it is bitter) as it is hoppy. Particularly in the finish. More astringent than bitter. Brilliant. cmillward (206), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 22, 2008 Bottle. Very clear golden with a fizzy white head, leaves a little lacing. A sweet maltiness, citrus and pine hops on the nose, a little toasted malt. Not super hoppy on the nose. Some citrus, super malty with toasted notes, quite bitter finish. Very bitter finish, med carb and mouthfeel. Would have liked it to have more hop aroma, but kudos to Victory for putting out a big IIPA in 6ers. Magic_dave6 (3975), London, Greater London, England Sep 1, 2008 Bottle at the Twickenham Tasting. Aroma is yee haa, bitter, hoppy, citrus goodness. Taste is similarly awsome, exactly what i want in an iipa.
