COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

I am amazed that this gets a 99 score, it’s a decent beer but lacks depth, I don’t know that I would look for it again, kind of bitter without the afternotes that it should have.

On Tap. Small head with little aroma. Very bitter taste without much distinctive hop flavor. Bitterness seemed to mellow a little as I worked my way through the beer.

Bottle from Bierzwerg. Poured amber color with a frothy white head. Very hoppy fruity aroma, some alcohol as well. Flavor is grapefruit and quite sweet, almost full bodied, felt very oily. Some alcohol coming through as well. Long bitter finish. Drinkable for sure, but not as good as I had hoped for.

Location/Date:Bottle on July 14th.

Appearance: Pours a red copper.
Aroma: Aroma is of hop, not as strong as expected.
Taste: Hops take a second to hit, then malt on the back.
Palate:A little thinner than I expected.

Summary: With a "HopDevil" name and a date that claims to be fresh until October 2011(with an iPA?!?), this beer was just okay.

Pours a dark amber with mild carbonation. Fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aromatic hops aroma readily come off this beer with a rich and slightly spicy boldly in front. Nice and think on the palate with decent carbonation. Strong hops flavoring more on the aromatic side than on the bitterness end. Mellows in the middle, followed by a strongly bitter hops taste. Nice IPA with a powerful hops character.

(Bottled)The Satanic hop monster on the bottle is cool and goes good with Pantera. nose is syrupy rich ..hops are grassy -not vibrant ,but there in spirit. It tastes rich , cloying and then with a wave of spicy chewey hops . Something mundane and ovbious when you look at he score , but regardless a plesant IPA.

Bottle poured into pint glass. Nice amber color with white two finger head. Highly aromatic of grapefruit (citrus) and hops. Taste is very bitter at first then the hops deliver with grapefruit, pine and resin. I kept wanting to go back for another sip. Nicely balanced in the finish. Recommended.

This beer represents this brewery in a favorable light. It severed it’s purpose as a Halloween night themed beer.
