The bottle makes you think you will be drinking cannabis. Nice ipa. Not very shocking. Love the bottle but the drink itself is pretty average.

12oz bottle from Discount Liquor Milwaukee. Pours a dark amber color with an off white head. Aroma is hoppy, piney, and a little citrus. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is malty sweet with a nice bitter hoppy finish. A very well balanced IPA...the IPA that started it all for me.

12 ounce bottle. Enjoy by August 24, 2011 noted on bottle. Drank June 3, 2011.
APPEARANCE: Clear amber.
Hues of orange.
Head is 2-3 fingers, light cream/beige, medium duration.
AROMA: Citrus, pine, resinous hops, sweet malt that is tropical (sensing faint pineapple) and honeyesque.
Hints of more resinous hops and touch of dry grain.
Extremely faint hint of vegetation.
TASTE: Grassy and citrusy hops. Resinous hops.
Hints of subtle sweet malt backbone with tropical/honey (again, sensing faint pineapple) character.
MOUTH FEEL: Hardly anything distinguishing. Medium body. Moderate carbonation.
OVERALL: Bitter finish is pleasantly moderate, for the style, in terms of bitterness and length. Hop-centric, yet relatively fair amount of balance from malt. Solid, yet far from extremely memorable or unique. Faint spice character to the hops on taste.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Pours orange amber with a medium head that dissipates quickly. Nose is resiny pine, citrous hops notes, mainly grapefruit. Taste is well balanced. Pine dominating but enough grapefruit and citrous kick to balance out the resin and yeast notes. Woody notes in there too. Nice bitter finish.
