A 12 fl oz bottle with an enjoy by date of 14th January 2016, poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It poured a clear copper orange colour with an off white one finger head that dissipated quickly but left nice stringy lacing. Aromas of citrus orange and lemon, pine with hints of tropical fruits and light caramel malt. Tastes of grapefruit and pine bitterness with quite a strong malt sweetness backbone. The finish is a nice lingering bitterness. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overall a nice IPA with good bitterness but maybe slightly too much malt sweetness.

Bottle from Mitsuya. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Ruby red grapefruit juice, citrus, pineapple and resin on the nose. Soft carbonation makes for a smooth mouthfeel, although the booze is noticeable. Good fruit flavor with a big, aggressive bitter finish. A classic east coast IPA.

Pours a dark amber color. A definite malty backbone of caramel and sweet, heavy flavors. Smooth texture and easy too drink. Well balanced with citrus and floral hops. On the heavier side for an ipa but good.
