4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2005 A personal favorite of mine...wish I could still get it in California! Alcohol is well hidden and the unique hop bitterness is complimented by spicy, fruit flavors. Sweet malt balances against the hops more than most IPAs, also a darker brown color.

A unique flavor & finish....very hoppy and most satisfying. Never heard of it, saw it tucked away @ distír who said it was great, but he underrated it. What a brew....fruity, hoppy, wierd....but delicious.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2008 Amber coloured beer with a thick beige head and sticky lace. Bright pine/spicy aroma. Flavour is quite similar. A bit of sweetness up front with a spicy finish. Some orange and butterscotch. When itís fresh, the hops are nice and piny with a touch of orange and spice... they can quickly fade to nothing though, so make sure you drink this one fresh.

I must agree. HOPS HOPS HOPS. I have had this in bottle and tap. As usual, tap was much better. Not really a hoppy ale guy but I put down a few of this and enjoyed it!

If I had to choose only one beer to drink for the rest of my life, this would be it. A true pleasure for a hophead.

YIKES!! Hoppy, hoppy, and even more hops. I love it. Just wish it didnít have as much grapefruit in the aftertaste, but beyond that complaint, a great beer from a great brewery!

Poured a deep amber (strange color for an IPA) with a good-sized off-white head that lasted a decent amount and left a lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy and refreshing. Initial taste has obvious hop bitterness but less pronounced than other IPAís, with a very subtle sweetness. It did not sit as heavy as other IPAís Iíve had. Body is fairly full. Overall, one of the smoothest, most drinkable IPAís Iíve had the privelege of trying.
