Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

They have this at the local specity shop here in Spokane Washington. Overall a great IPA but not as good as Stoneís effort IMO. It was a good brew but I will take a stone over this most times out.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2005 Yet another RE-RATE: this thing is good, and I am stupid. Balanced IPA that even holds up well to cask conditioning, try it because itís fortified with essential vitamins. RE-RATE: (7/5/7/3/15) Not sure here, but it seems as though Iíve lost some of my love for this beer. It tastes a bit blander to me and almost chalky. It still pours very nicely and looks fantastic, but Iím just not getting the "hop devil" taste anymoe. At first I thought it was the bottle/6 pack, but upon frequent revisiting, I am still a wee-bit dissapointed. Still a very nice beer, just not as intense as Iíd like out of an IPA. OLD RATING (4.2):The perfect IPA? Maybe. I love the dark color and feeling to this beer. This is an IPA without being TOO pale -- it still has some backbone to go along with the incredible hop punch. Go for this one, many times.

29th beer of the 2004 Montreal Mondiale. Amber coloured, white head. Aroma is typical American-style hop profile, caramelly too. The flavour is also hoppy, with citric notes, with the same licorice undertone I remember from the Storm King. Full bodied. Good, but not outstanding.

Beautiful aroma of hops. Pours straight into glass with 1cm of head. Nice amber color. A bit dissappointed in the taste. Thought it would be more bitter but still an excellent IPA

(sample @ brewery) a very nice amber-colored beer under an orangish-white head. nose is full of prominent domestic hops-cascades w/ maybe Mt. Hood?-and some caramel malt underneath. flavor a balance between hops and malty sweetness. aftertaste is hoppy and bitter, with a little too much malt stickiness coming through for great balance.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2006 Bottled. A sour fruit aroma to this hazy amber coloured beer. The beer is hoppy, sour, chewy and tasty. A nice beer but Iíve had better IPAs.

This is flat out the kinda stuff that’ll turn you into a hophead. Luscious....delicious...scrumptious. The color is spot on for the style, a nice coppery-orange. The white pillowy head was perfect. The hoppy scent was accented nicely by a fruity, citrusy ovetone. The bitter piney/hop flavor had me wanting more and more. Very satisfying. No doubt, this baby is right there with the gems by Stone and Alesmith. I’ll buy this again...and again..and again.

Hop juice to the max. On tap. A dark golden amber with a nice 1íí head. A hoppy aroma follows through in the flavor, along with hints of fruit and black currant, just enough to balance out the bitterness nicely. Definately worth a try.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2004 Mondial de la Biere 2004. Deep orange amber colour with a thin diminishing off-white head. Caramel malt, toffee, and fruity aroma. Dark bread, toasty malts, with a lingering fruity bitter finish. Medium to full bodied, and a touch sticky.

Orange-amber. Good long lasting pillowy head with some lacing. Delicious full bodied hop aroma, more than just grapefruit, includes cedar scent as well. Full bodied. Alcohol notes in body and finish. Hops are nicely balanced, not overwhelming. Some oilyness in the body.
