Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2007 Huge props to Sancho for this one...right up my alley. Nice opaque reddish amber. Great malt....nice hops, with a wonderful mix of bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel, but neither are overpowering. Just a touch of sweetnes....great IPA.

Pours a discolored dark rose. The head is dense and leaves a solid lace throughout the session. Caramel, orange peel and fruity hops on the nose. Oranges, caramel, cardboard, citrus hops and herbal hops throughout. Solid flavor and a very full in the mouth. An excellent IPA.

beautiful appearance, red coloring w/ white head, apple, alcohol nose, sweet fruit flavor, fresh malts, the hop devil himself must have sucked all of the bitters out of my bottle, b/c it was generally lacking in the hop area, which needless to say, dropped the points for this one, I really wasn’t too impressed by this one.

Very good Pale Ale. Not to hoppy mixed perfectly with the malts to give it that unique flavor. This is a IPA I can drink. I was very pleased with the flavor.

Bottle. Bronzish ber with a thin off-white head. Hoppy aroma (citrus), but not that strong. Clean, refreshing, malt balanced with hops. Nice flavor - caramel and good hop flavor (citrus, earthy) that causes some tingling. Big disapointment. I expected so much more from this. I’d say it’s no where near the quality of many west coast IPA’s. Barely any aroma (for an IPA) and not enough bitterness. I wanted/expected much more from this - even went a day out my my way just to get some bottle on the eat coast. And there are still months to go on the freshness dating. Overall - better than most brewpub IPA’s, but not the quality of most micro’s IPA’s. It’d be a good pale ale.

Bottle: Aroma is a slightly sweet grapefruit and citrus. Pours a transparent amber with an okay white head that is gone in a minute or so. Not as hoppy as I expected. More malty than expected. Flavors are kind of citrus, grapefruit, and caramel without any of these being the dominant flavor. Most of the taste comes in the finish and the hops barely outweigh the sweetness. Rather dry. A little more hops or a little less sweetness would improve this beer, but still very good. Fits right in the middle of the IPA's I've had.

A very deep golden/amber colour that to me is a promise of intense hoppines. The aroma and flavour don’t disapoint. Huge aromas and flavour of white grapefruit with a decent malt backbone. Why couldn’t the LCBO sell this?

I’m not sure what type of ale this is, they say IPA, but i taste a very sweet beer, maybe a cross between a imperial IPA and a sweet amber. Sweeter body of malt than most, hoppy, very clean crisp hops.

This pours a deep amber color with a slight white head that vanishes very quickly. No problem. The caramelly malt aroma and and tart hoppy aroma grab your attention. Good, full-bodied mouth-feel with a nice bitter edge. A lingering hop finish rounds the drink off nicely.
