3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very aggressive beer, but not too strong. Where most beers would go overboard with flavor. This one walks the line without going over into the land of bad things.

I typically am not at all a fan of IPA’s. Extremely hoppy beers turn me off. This was an extremely hoppy beer but mysteriously I loved it. I found it to be bold yet not overpowering. Great balance of hops and malt, all IPA’s should taste like this.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice balance between hops and malt. Definite Cascade character, citrusy, etc. Evident bitterness at the end. Enjoyable and a good example of the style.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Slightly citrusy aroma, but mostly pine, resin. Spicy hops dominate, quite bitter with little sweetness. The malt is pretty far behind at the finish line, but still comes through a bit. Nice beer burps, and a thoroughly decent aftertaste.

Holy hops. Copper in color. Fluffy tanish head. The nose is
super hoppy and fruity. The palate is rich, smooth, and packed with hops. The
is a very BIG IPA that is well balanced. The malt level is high
enough to smooth out the hops. Bravo. Vict

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2006 Copper liquid atop a magnificent creamy, well retained foam. Rye, pepper, graham, pine, toasted malts, and medicine aroma. Leaning toward the English style. Full bodied. Flavors match the aroma perfectly. The abundance of malts only allow the grapefruit to remain an undertone. Alcohol becomes more evident as it warms. Oh so balanced. Finishes medicinal with tons of crystal sweetness and rye-like breadiness. This separates itself nicely from being another predicatble/redundant IPA. Note: Seems to have steadily gone downhill in comparison to early versions, as it’s displaying more slick fruitiness and less hop brightness, fizzier carbonation, lots of Vitamin B in the flavor, and quite metallic.

MMMMMM, sweet hops. Huge hops taste, giving it a nice floral taste that is very crisp. Simply excellent.

Bottle. An amber color with minimal head. A hoppy floral fruity aroma. I love IPAs with character and body.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2003 Bottled version, one year on, lacks a little balance in bottle and becomes metallic in the finish. Cask conditioned, GBBF London. Amber gold moderate head and condition. Massive dry hopped nose, fruity malt and good smooth bitterness in the mouth and a great hoppy finish.

In my opinion, this beer approaches near perfection! The hoppiness is strong yet smooth. The color is a gorgeous copper. This beer is awesome with Indian food.
