4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 matmatmat (82) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 17, 2011
Deep amber color with a light off white head that dissolved quickly. Citrus and hay aroma. Medium sweet with heavy bitter flavors from the strong hop character to this IPA. Flat and a little thin on the palate. Over all a great IPA.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DavoleBomb (965) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2011
Poured into a pint glass.
4.5 A: Clear amber orange color. Two fingers of thick creamy head with good retention and some lacing.
3.5 S: Citrus and herbal hops. Slight breadiness and a touch of caramel.
3.5 T: The hop profile isn’t as deep as I’d prefer. Lots of bittering hops while not much in terms of flavor. Not quite as balanced because of this, though still very tasty. Malts are a bit bready, caramel, grainy.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good carbonation and creaminess, but could be improved.
4.0 D: Intense hop bitterness brings out the hophead in me, which makes this very drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 strap (262) - honolulu, Alabama, USA - JAN 9, 2011
citrusy hops overwhelm this beer....reminds me of a mix of citrus fruits...tangerines, grapefruits, lemons. a very pronounced aroma, and the first taste really hits you. i’m not a fan of the huge hop finish that overwhelms the flavor of anything else i drink or eat for the next half hour or so. best by itself.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Vertical Bacon Strips (1617) - Asshat, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 6, 2011
Pours out a clear deeeeeep dark amber with a small off white cap that leaves some rings and some slippery lacing. Great aroma! Drooly and thick yet not overpowering. Floral softness, nice sharp orange, light caramel, some not so sweet candy, something pink, soft lemon, nice! I’d love to know what hops are in here. Tastes like grapefruit bitterness with out the grapefruit flavour. Honey, light pepper, lots of citrus, light pine and some heat. Plenty of bitterness and a long lasting harshness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 andyhwcinc (807) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 6, 2011
Purchased at Bagel on Damen in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a non-descript Thursday night. Appearance a somewhat cloudy golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma mainly consisting of caramel malts and hops. Taste of a typically good IPA, slightly sweet, dominated by floral hops, nothing out of the ordinary, just a good IPA.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Habanero (1096) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2010
Bottled. Pours clear, amber with a large, white head. Excellent lacings. Soft carbonation. Hoppy nose with flowers, citrus, caramel and fruity notes. Likevise a hoppy flavour, medium sweet again with citrus and caramel notes. Medium bodied. Creamy texture. It has lovely long and bitter finish. Crisp and enjoyable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jsmerig (409) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2010
Pours a reddish amber color with an off white head. Scent is of flowers, intensely hoppy. Taste is strong with hops throughout with a big sweetness up front that lasts until the end of the taste where the floral notes really come through. You are left with a biting bitter flavor that remains on the floral side of hoppy. Not as well balanced as I would like, but still a good offering to the hopheads from Victory.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jonno (1312) - JAPAN - DEC 28, 2010
bottle. After all the hop monsters i had on my trip, this was a refreshingly balanced IPA. to relax with. Not overly hoppy and a little spicy. Easy drinking and very moreish. Good finish as the toffee and spicy hop drive off in to the sunset together, towards my Esophagus.
