COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

Tap @ Slater’s 50/50. Pour is dark amber with small foamy head. Aroma is caramel and resin. Flavor is quite malty; closer to a brown ale then an IPA, especially one labeled "HopDevil." Bitterness hits slightly at the finish. Typical east coast IPA...meh.

This was a great IPA, Poured as a clear copper with at least two fingers of head that has seemingly left a thin layer of murky head. malty sweet alcohol inspired aroma. Not too hoppy but a definite hoppy dstinctivness. A little citrusy and piney and smooth with a pleasant hoppy aftertaste.

This is my go to beer. Pairs well with a variety of foods, but can also be enjoyed without accompaniment. Piney, herbal nose throughout with a slight bready component bringing up the rear. Gorgeous, clear coppery color with a lingering frothy head and solid lacing through the finish. Excellent spin on the IPA with medium sweetness and bitterness, truly well balanced. Medium body with a pleasant ever-so slightly bitter finish.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium copper with a one finger off-white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Smell is a wonderful bouquet of hops. Both citrus and pine. Also a nice malty note. Flavor is incredible. Hops are prominant from the start with considerable bitterness. Piny hop flavor briefly up front before bitterness takes over. The malt then comes in to balance everything out. Wonderful bready, biscuity malt on the finish just makes this beer. I really wish I could get this beer where I live. One of the best IPA’s I have had.

Poured deep amber/copper, small off white head. Deep, powerful hop aroma of citrus & pine resin. Good hop flavours, smokey, resin, citrus fruit, deep caramel. Strong malt backbone to balance. Long satisfyingly bitter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

10/I/2012 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Canal’s Liquors (Mt. Ephraim, NJ) @ home - BB: XII/7/11 (yes, I missed it!) (2012-23)

Clear reddish amber coloured beer, (pale?) nice thick irregular off-white to yellowish head, stable, very adhesive with nice lacing. Aroma: lots of passion fruit, sweet malts, ripe fruits, some rotten banana, pretty spicy, pepper. MF: low carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus start, fruity, some passion fruit, pineapple, bitter. Aftertaste: some citrus, sweet maltiness, very dry bitter ending.

Bottle at Lucky’s (old school diner/burger shop in Stamford) with Andy, Erica, Maggi, Massimo. Great-looking pour into a 12oz mug: glassy copper-amber with a medium-sized, fluffy white head. Nose is hops and maybe sweetbread or something like that. Kind of earthy. Palate is actually pretty balanced and it’s not the hop monster (or devil) I really expected, but that’s not a bad thing. I liked it a lot and would order again. Pretty quintessential IPA with doughy, grainy malt profile and fair amount of hop bitterness. A little tame, but not lame (was not trying to make that rhyme but it did).
