COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

Poured out a gleaming amber color with an eggshell head that left decent lacing. The nose was a sweet hop scent followed with a touch of grass. The mouthfeel is a crisp yet bitter hop flavor that finished with a citrus ting.

12oz bottle pours a cloudy reddish amber. Aroma is very flural with almost spicey malt notes. Flavor is very hoppy and bitter but balanced well with malt. Body is meduim with a good texture. Try mixing with storm king VERY GOOD

Best by date of 11/7/10. The beer pours an orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is very nice. I get a variety of hop aromas including orange, pine and earth. I also get something that smells like iced tea and some biscuit malt. The flavor is heavy on the citrus, but it is very bitter. I also get some earthy hops and bready malts. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. I have had this beer numerous times and don’t remember it being this bitter, but this was also the first time I have sat down in a controlled environment to drink and rate the beer.

Cloudy amber pour, light tan head, grassy aroma, lightly sticky palate, nicely bitter from mid to finish. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours a thin white head which quickly dissipates. Clear amber-brown body. Aroma is initially heaps of citrus and grapefruit and some cane sugar. Evolves to include biscuit, peach and apricot and orange notes throughout the tasting. Bitter notes quickly counteracted with very sweet notes with a long sweet dry finish. Packs a flavour punch! Not subtle.

351 mL bottle. Another one I’ve somehow forgotten to rate. Copper-orange with a nice, sticky, white head. The hops are not overwhelming in the aroma; there is actually a solid maple syrup and hay malt presence. The hops themselves are resiny and grassy. The flavour is pine and grass, with enough caramel to make it interesting. Huge bitterness in the finish.

33cl bottle from Ryhtym & Booze, Doncaster Very surprised to see an American beer here. I haven’t see Victory beers outside the US!

Hazy amber orange. Pine, wood, grass, caramel and flowers in the not very big aroma (could be that it’s old?). Less citric and tropical fruits compared to many other american IPA’s. More of the same in the flavor but now more focus on the fruit and surprisingly on the tropical side. The end is very bitter and lingers on. A nice IPA but would need more power in the aroma and body to match the bitterness to really take off.
