3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 lusikka (2062) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 9, 2010
355 ml bottle @ Oluthuone Kitty’s Public House. Rated @ 10.7.2010.
Pours a clear amber colour with a small head. The aroma is fruits, citrus, floral hops and caramel malts. The flavour is pretty much the same but with a hop kick in the end. However, the taste runs out pretty fast and makes a average bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Maybe a bigger abv would keep up the taste on the palate.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lambchop (15) - South Carolina, USA - SEP 7, 2010
12oz bottle from the grocers. Aroma is grassy and light. Appearance is amber/orange with a small white head. Light lace. I found this beer to be very sweet for an IPA that kind of masks the taste of the hops. Overall, I didn’t really care too much for it. It wasn’t awful but not what I would consider a "true" IPA.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 woodzgud (14) - USA - SEP 6, 2010
On tap at Taco Mac. A little disappointed in this one, considering the high rating. Nice hoppy aroma and good appearance , but nothing unique here for an IPA. Very bitter. New Belgium Ranger IPA on tap last night at Manuel’s has lower rating but better choice in my opinion.

22 oz. bottle. Wow, been waiting to get my hands on this and totally disagree with the high rating on this. Clear, amber golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly citrusy aroma. Medium-bodied with some caramel and then a rather unsophisticated hopping which mainly leaves bitterness. Average and disappointing IPA.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerisgoodforu (645) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - SEP 6, 2010
Bottle. Pours a dark orange/amber color, with a small off-white head. Aroma is of hops that are spicy and resinous, along with good amount of malt, both sweet, biscuit and caramel. The flavor is of plain hops along with cannabis, spicy and resinous hops, floral notes, some sweet, biscuit and caramel malt. The body is medium with quite a dry mouthfeel. Overall a pretty good IPA.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FudgeSociety (243) - Florida, USA - SEP 5, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2011 Beautiful amber color on this one. Wonderful fruity aroma. Not a bad beer, but it could be more balanced. Pretty standard soapy IPA taste. Bitter aftertaste builds as you drink more, not pleasant. Wouldn’t get more. Exclusivley for hop heads, but nothing special. EDIT: NEED TO TRY THIS AGAIN
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 HighlanderOne (748) - Bergen County, New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2010
Poured from bottle. Hops in aroma, but nut overly so. IPA look. Nicely hopped, not overpowering, which surprises me. Has a nutty, earthy feel to it, another surprise . Finished well. Unique for the style.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 talleyrand (38) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 3, 2010
Dark amber color. Swift hops infiltrate the nose upon first inhale. A soft, mushy head which dissipates quickly. Warm and playful on the palate. Hop taste is not overpowering, which is something one might fear. Overall balance is impressive. An excellent beer for anyone who sternly advocates the value of hops.
