3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MaltOne (145) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Pours a rich copper amber. Substantial "cream of wheat" chunky head, long lasting. Aroma is more malt with a touch of yeast and hops. Creamy and effervescent on the tongue. Finishes with a well balanced toasted malt and bitter hops. Not complex, but enjoyable IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jonnyguns (384) - - MAR 15, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Nice clear orange pour with a small white head. Aroma is mainly pine and grassy hops. Hints of citrus in there. Kinda reminds me of a toned down sierra nevada torpedo ipa. Taste has more pine coming through with a toffee like malt backing. Dry finish. Not too bad!
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 backdaft (137) - Menasha Red Light District, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours an orange/amber color with an average head that leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus hops & sweet malt. Taste is grapefruit rind & pine bitterness. Finish is clean & dry. Solid.
4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 VoodooBear (32) - San Juan, PUERTO RICO - MAR 10, 2013
Presentation: 12 oz. brown bottle, served in a Samuel Adams pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy, dark gold color. Thick, fluffy, two finger, tan colored head that slowly settles down. Nice lacing throughout.
Smell: Subdued, this is not a very aromatic beer. The smell is mainly sweet malts with a citrus hop scent in the background.
Taste: A very spicy hop bitterness is the first thing that hits your taste buds. It’s incredible, and it stays on the palate for a while. Taste is dominated by this hop flavor. Some citrus notes and a nice malt sweetness complement it very well. You can also taste the alcohol quite clearly, but it’s not unpleasant or overwhelming.
Mouthfeel: It’s very smooth and creamy. Medium-bodied and surprisingly easy to drink, despite the hop "kick" you get at the beginning. It has a decent amount of carbonation.
Overall: This beer does the name justice. The mix of flavors, dominated by the citrus and spice hoppy taste is an incredible experience, even though it kicks your palate’s ass. A brew every hop-head should try. But even people who don’t like the hop bitterness, but appreciate beer, will be pleased by the complexity of the flavor and the feeling you get from it. Highly recommended.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 TheMaha (19) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 7, 2013
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2013 12oz bottle poured to a tulip. Solid IPA. A rich copper color the initial nose is delightfully floral hops, pineapple some caramel and heather. On the tongue the piney resins assert themselves with the floral and a nice light bubblegum and earth notes. The bitterness is good thru out and lingers on the tongue. I wouldn’t call this knock your socks off..but you’ll always be happy having one of these in the fridge. Well done.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 maekchu (1090) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 7, 2013
Bottle from Five Points Bottle Shop (AtlantaHighway) in Athens. Big tough piney nose, some sweet pastry behind. Bright orange-brown, with a small creamy head. Balanced and forceful initial / some tongue-scraping hops come out and some heavy caramel / smooth finish. The hop rasp sticks for a bit. Chewy, full-bodied stuff. I don’t remember it being this good in the past.

Draft at Philly airport. Nice extreme hoppy aroma. Appearance is a concentrated hazelnut color. Nice frothy head which however dissapates rather quickly. Very nice hoppy bitterness in the taste. Overall a really nice beer.

This was the best of 4 (also very good) beers in a Victory sampler pack. Glad I finally tried this one, it packs more hops power than the Headwater APA, and is very balanced. The hops really never get so intense that they have you reeling like some IPAs, this is one of those beers you could be happy with every day.
