Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

12oz bottle pours a hazy burnt amber with small off white head, reduces to cap. Nose of sweet mango and pineapple and some bitter citrus. Taste is quite malty and caramely with some orange. Really good mouth feel, nice body to it and quite high carbonation that fades quite substantially. Good drying finish, bitterness not excessive. Really enjoyable balance.

Bottles. Best by date is 12/23/14. So take this with a grain of salt. Pours clear honey golden color, white/beige head. Aroma is mango, grapefruit, tropical fruits. The degeneration is apparent. But not too bad. Flavor is a pretty much a malt bomb. I haven’t had a non-fresh IPA in a long time. This is caramel malts, toffee, orange, grapefruit citrus come through in the middle and the finish. More like a light Barleywine than an IPA at this point. Still enjoyable and I tend to think this is great fresh. Will have to revisit fresh.

Bel colore ambrato arancione. Odore fruttato, leggermente resino es erbaceo. Sapore molto amaro, poco stemperato dai malti, leggermente allappante e resinoso. La bottiglia non ha fondo, quindi credo che la birra sia stata filtrata.

12oz bottles in Victory sampler 2013 and poured in What’s Brewing workshop 3 TÜ, 2015. Citrus caramel bonbon meets friendly herbal leaf resins in taste and mouthfeel. Slight Simcoe/Centennial dankness, pungency when older. Could be more expressive in aroma, although that might be the trade routes speaking.

Direi decisamente un bel colore, e anche un bel naso che lasciano presagire molto bene. Ma poi in bocca non mi convince molto, un pò troppo sbilanciata.
