COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

(Bottle) After being sorely disappointed by Victory’s Hop Wallop, I was slightly more impressed by this beer. The hops are very complex and very fruity. There are some unpleasant tones in the hops though too. It’s mixed. I have complaints too about the flavor. It’s not the bitterness that gets me...this beer is too sour. As an IPA goes, this is solidly mediocre in my opinion. You can’t just make a good IPA by adding a lot of hops...you have to craft the beer, balance it, and use high-quality ingredients and a good process. This beer seems very sloppily brewed. As a final note, however, this beer is redeemed slightly by a certain cleanness in its aftertaste that is lacking from some IPA’s. This does make it more pleasant to drink, offsetting the unpleasant sourness a bit.

Poured into a tulip glass. Aggressive pour come out a clear copper color with a two finger head a nice lattice work lacing. Aroma is floral hops, malt and a citrus undertone. Taste is floral, piney, and citrus hops. Malt balances this out very nicely. A very well balanced IPA in my opinion.

This beer was very caramely for an IPA. While some did not care for this feature, I really enjoyed the variation on the style. I also felt that the hops choice was spot on for the malt profile. It pours with a thick head of small bubbles that quickly dissipates. The finish is clean and crisp. Overall a very well made beer.

Smells of piney hops and bready malts with a light fruitiness. Light gold color. Flavors of big fruit and citrus with a bland carbonation. Overall, kind of a boring, bland taste. I’d give this a a C rating.

Bottle into a goblet. Light Tan gold, thin head after a few minutes. Very clean taste, low hop, caramel co2 taste. Clean finish with a hop after taste. Victory is a great company. It’s great to live an hour away from there. With I was closer!

High alcohol. Good IPA. Amber color and a little citrusy. Definitely would have again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
