Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

I have to rate this - even though it’s some time since I had it (against my own rule). But this was without comparison my favorite beer from my June visit to the NE US. The hoppy bitterness stands out in a class of it’s own - all I can say - try it - if You have the chance.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly citrusy aroma. Medium-bodied with some caramel and then a rather unsophisticated hopping which mainly leaves bitterness. Not overly interesting. 191206

7th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Soft IPA. Fruity - well joined up. Some subtle red fruit and a bare hint of blueberry. Soft finish - just a little too dry.

2009-10-20, bottle from Ølbaren, Copenhagen, 5-5-7-3-13=33
Beautiful amber color; big creamy head. Strange aroma, soapy; it reminds me the small grocery stores in some Alpine village, selling in the same room food and detergents; moldy. Good body, strong caramel and toffee flavor, with just the limited sweetness that is required; very strong bitterness (just a grain of sand too much), a bit resiny. I didn’t enjoy it too much today.

Beautiful amber color. Elegant aroma of caramalt and hops. Good body structure, with good combination of malt and caramel, very well balanced by a generous hopping, introducing a long and balanced finish, with caramel, some hop oils and cookies. Pleasant and professionally brewed.
