Ungstrup (10417), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 17, 2002 I have to rate this - even though it's some time since I had it (against my own rule).
But this was without comparison my favorite beer from my June visit to the NE US.
The hoppy bitterness stands out in a class of it's own - all I can say - try it - if You have the chance. omhper (9704), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 31, 2002 Amber. Light bodied, dry, huge cascade/citrus aroma, bitter.
Papsoe (9242), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 23, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Lightly citrusy aroma. Medium-bodied with some caramel and then a rather unsophisticated hopping which mainly leaves bitterness. Not overly interesting. 191206 Oakes (6529), Miami Beach, Canada Nov 19, 2000 Exquisite aroma, but flavour didn't live up. Dry and bitter to be sure, but kind of one-dimensional for a brewery that delivers such wonderful subtlety in its other beers. argo0 (5860), Washington DC, USA May 1, 2002 Very nice IPA. Start off with a nice amber body that has a minimal head. Next, add in lovely grapefruit aroma. The flavor is solid citrusy hops, though it's a bit unbalanced. Nice aftertaste. Goes great with chili.
